He was in this band back in the early 90's called The Scream, and that was my introduction to his bass playing. The band also featured John Corabi, who briefly went on to sing for Motley Crue. They were a great, no-frills heavy rock band.

RJC 72 , he was also in the metal band Racer X in the 80's. Juan was a total badass shredder back then

1:12 sounds like some of the Flash Gordon soundtrack from the 80's. Awesome.

The tentacle i got from Reverb must have been broken. Guess I need to try another one now.

That MF Drive sounds so killer! Maybe my next purchase.

It’s a real great pedal. I love it for guitar and bass. I generally use with the gain down and the output cranked. It just makes that tone I’m after.

Aaaaaand now I'm trying to justify just buying all of these pedals
@JohnDoe-dh8xc6 жыл бұрын
Really you could get away with a cheap drive and vibrato but you need that tentacle
@nickash56 жыл бұрын
Mxr Blue Box might do something like that.

Yeah sweet, I got a spare grand to go "wwwWWWWWhhhaaaaammmp!" (not) Great demo though! Love Juan's passion and techniques - his rig rundown was awesome! His pedal show is wicked, too!

marv151 but you lose control when you get rid of the strings. And the time to program that shit...but to each their own. Get both?

But less than half the fun of playing the strings!

It's fretless, but also varnished, like what Jaco Pastorious played.
@donnix69317 жыл бұрын
It is his 1970 or 71 fender precision fretless. The fingerboard is made of ebinol but the lines and dots were painted on by Eric from Eric's guitars. Unlike Jaco's famous jazz bass where he pulled out the frets and filled them in with a wood filler.

Epoxied fretless board.

I remember getting the same mood with a BOSS FLANGER, BIG MUFF distortion and COMPRESSION. Probably could of used sustainer. Split the signal for bottom end and its gravy. Nice sales pitch though.

Probably these timbres sound great in context (with other instruments), but IMO it doesn’t sound fascinating/rich/interesting by itself.

Kids, leave these pedals in your bedroom if you have a gig.

It's cool, but, I don't like it. I mean, it's a really cool sound, but I just can't envision it sounding decent in any songs short of an old sci-fi movie.

Music is an expression. Whether you like it or not is subjective, so there was no need to take the time to write a conceited comment. Just move on.

Plugging pedals into other pedals are not tricks.

Disagree. That's really the main trick of pedal tricks.
