Hey bro, just wanted to thank you for this. I made one already based off of this video, and its amazing. 350w 8" woofer and its mounted to my sim racing rig. Im pretty sure its more powerful than any bass shaker product by far. Lol. Im now making a second version. Total cost so far is just 2 packs of 2-part epoxy ($5CAD)

Hi, nice tutorial. Is the bolt tightly connected to the aluminium plate with the nuts or did you leave room for it to move?
@FLYFISHO7 ай бұрын
bolt and nuts needs to be super tight on the cross brace. Bolt needs to be perfectly centered and floating on the voice coil when epoxied

Hi, im thinking of doing this with 2 10" cheap subwoofers. I saw that in some comments you say something about adding weight. How is that? Where do you add the weight and what for? Thanks for the vid!

How did it end up working? Did you shake yourself right out of the sim chair? :) Would love to see a photo or video of it in action.

hey mate..im half way building my bass shaker with a 120 watt 2 channel amp and 10" inch sub. Istead of using a bolt..can i use a heavy duty spring...will that work? cheers............
@FLYFISHO3 жыл бұрын
Bolt is better. The voice coil needs to be centered and held inplace as if its not it wont work properly
@benos4x4adventures493 жыл бұрын
@@FLYFISHO ok thanks mate...so the bolt just needs to almost touch the coil? with a small gap correct? and then did you put glue inbetween the coil and bolt?

i was going to do this with my two little 3 1/2 inch sub for shits and giggles, but they are literally 3w so the coils started toasting instantly even though I had my volume set ultra low lmao

what dimensions and what metal is the strip? im using a piece of wood which works but rattles horribly at higher intensities

My whole sim rig rattles at full lol. Was just a peice of aluminum about 40mm wide by 3mm thick. Just make sure everything its tight and secure to avoid any undue vibrations

Because you cant put any pressure on the voice coil and it has to be aligned perfectly

to get the most amps, which leads should you use on the cp psu? the 12v fan rails or the cpu,, gpu???thanks

From memory its the yellow wires. I used a yellow off the 6pin connector. Look up the specs of the psu your using. It will tell you in there.

How do you actually mount this to the chair? I bolted the centre pin and the sub basket itself both to the chair frame. Is that right or not?
@FLYFISHO5 жыл бұрын
I mounted it the same way a you would normally mount a speaker but backwards

@robblanchard31465 жыл бұрын
@@FLYFISHO But, the bolt has a small mass compared to the speaker frame and magnet. If you fasten ONLY the bolt to your rig, the mass of the speaker frame and magnet will be vibrating and create a much better effect.

Drill a hole and put the middle rod into it with washers and 2 nuts to secure it into a solid board under your chair or couch.Use a vertical installation.
