That Bassist was slamming. The Ken Smith brand has been around for a while and they have a fantastic sound. Many years ago, in fact it was Oct 10th, 1979, I bought my upright Bass directly from the man, Ken Smith himself in NYC when I was in college and I was studyiing with Bill Blossom of the NY Philharmonic. Ken lived in the Union Square part of Manhattan. He took me out for a bite, we talked Bass, then we went to his apartment. He had many Basses and I bought a converted 5 string Juzek Bass for $1600 dollars. I still have it and it has played in very well even though it still has a little bit of a "wolf tone" on the A string. I also still have the receipt from the purchase! I named it "Claude" many years ago. Keep playing out there my Bass brothers. Best to all.

Thanks for your kind words…, at this time I was using D‘Addario strings usually starting with 35 or 40 on the g string, I don’t like fat strings at all because it limits me in terms of phrasing, meanwhile i‘m using Warwick strings also starting with 40 on g, they keep the sound pretty long, Peace

a session band from Berlin, the drummer and pianist are playing with Till Brönner, a very famous trumpet player, the singer is living in Cologne and i‘m an electric and upright bassplayer from Berlin too, these gigs are basically done without rehearsals, everyone has to know his part and the rest is interaction on stage, by the way David Haynes, the drummer is the worldwide most famous finger drumming player, using drum pads as a drumset, there’s another video in my channel from the same evening with a female singer from Poland, at the end he is doing a solo with the pad
