I'm doing this from memory, so someone might want to factcheck, but I believe Audyssey's target curve on the mobile app starts tapering the bass at 100hz. By 50 hz, it's -5db, and by 20 hz its -15. Evo's target curve's are very different and slope upward at 100hz and are closer to +5db at 50hz. Evo also doesn't boost, so it allows your sub and room to do it's thing.

That makes sense to me and difference in the low freq is audible as well as viewable in REW and Omnimic

The Invisible Man would be interesting to look at. Some of the early scenes have some interesting bass. As usual 2049 and its many bass heavy scenes. Master and Commander U571

@@andrewvenditelli152 The bass test readings are taken at -15 db volume level on the Marantz. That is the same volume that I typically watch movies when I’m by myself. With others in the room, I find that I have to go up to -10 db on the volume scale to get the same immersion and enjoyment.

Agree with edge of tomorrow for the subwoofer killer. Maybe try the intro to Hypnotic, cloverfield, of course the black hole scene In interstellar, also.. try playing some Hans Zimmer tracks via Apple Music etc in Dolby atmos, I think it’s the Inception: Time - song that has ultra low bass! 🎉

@@MattyDaddy14 Interstellar will be on the next episode. Thanks for reminding me. I have the Hans Zimmer Live in Prague disc on Dolby Atmos. That disc has also had some tracks with deep bass. Maybe I’ll put that in the next episode as well. 🙏

@@magnoliamo I just listened to the live in Prague on Apple Music thru my HT “system”. It’s truly great!! There were a couple songs, I wanna say Dark Phoenix? And one of the Batman -dark knight tracks had bass so low I don’t think my subs were even playing low enough! I’m dying to get one of the 15” sounds you’ve recommended to complete my system! Btw. Monolith subs are all on sale! Their 15” THX is $1299. The 13” and even 2-15” are less than $1700 now also. I’m still leaning towards RSL/HSU because of hi level inputs tho.

@@MattyDaddy14 it’s “Why so serious” from The Dark Knight. It’s the bass guitar that plays that deep. I’m going to include that in my next video. It’s damn good. Get the Monolith 15” subs.

Idk why but Deepwater also reminded me of Underwater. Another really heavy bass movie, hard to find on disc though. But it hits 20hz hard throughout the whole movie. On sale on Apple for $4.99 in 4k right now.

Denon and marantz posted in their web that they wont support any issue caused by audissy one as it us third party software as tge same us nit from audissy or marantz . And they wont even entertain warrenty issues. Gane started to save
