Excellent build my man! Just got a 16x48, and you've got my wheels spinning! Unfortunately my dad will not be here to fish with me. The rona took him out on February 16th of this year. That's who I got the boat from. He was in the middle of getting it set up and it breaks my heart he's not going to get to finish it and go fishing in it. Got a brand new 30hp Tohatsu on it too, which isn't even broke in yet. I helped him customize the side console for it. We've fished together my whole life, and I'm 41. Not going to be the same without him, that's for sure. Anyhow, I'm enjoying your channel and wish you nothing but success. Cheers and tight lines!

Mr. N, not sure how to spell your name but Bro....It is truly remarkable what you've accomplished with this boat build. I built a 1436 myself inspired by Mike Lopez, Fire Ant Fishing and Anthony Jones but nothing compared to what you guys do. Truly amazing. I have had issues trying to obtain a title for my boat however, yesterday 08/02/2022 I traded for another 1436 with a 3.0 Mercury outboard and a 2.5 Mariner and all the paperwork. I know I will likely end up selling the motors because I doubt they will push a boat build like this but I do have an older Evinrude 9.9. Looking forward to starting my building in the near future. Thank you for sharing your ideas and expertise with the KZbin family of DIY'ers. Just Awe inspiring bro.

Great videos. I just started my build! I have a 15' Grumman jon boat that's been sitting in my backyard for 7 years doing nothing... I started today rebuilding the transom. I used blue deamon weld rods to fix some tiny holes and the flame went thru the holes enough to ignite the transom and smolder a nice fire lol! That sparked the transom rebuild, pun intended. It was rotten anyway so kind of glad that happened. Ne way, thanks for the inspiration! on to framing, decking, swearing, drinking, mathing, cutting, more swearing, more drinking, and hopefully some fishing lol.

I enjoyed this set of videos. Learned a lot. You did well as the apprentice with no master to guide him. You are now the"Master Boat Builder". I have watched some several times. I think I would start the framing with the floor and sides first. Not a complaint just an observation. Also look into a table saw that can take an aluminum blade. Maybe a table scroll saw with a metal cutting blade. Let the tools do the job. Thanks for the videos.

Nice work and your attention to detail is awesome!! Just an idea for your rod locker, do you think it would be possible to install a 12 volt fan to circulate the air to keep things dry? Just a thought to keep things dry. Lookin forward to seeing you out on the water and catching a few!

Haven't thought of it. Not sure I really need to. My rod locker has stayed dry so far.
