no it doesnt, why are you replying to every comment with this? they are perfectly fine and healthy, many dogs have droopy, extra skin. dogs like PUGS have it bad due to their pancake snouts, but bassets are perfectly fine.@@dukeallen432

I am melting! Our Bassett lived to 12 YO and was the sweetest soul, a terrific guard dog and caused a smile with every glance! He carried remnants of his breakfast and dinner on the tips of his ears, everywhere he went! Smelled like a hounddog and smelled(inspected!) every inch of the neighborhood but he sure did love his chosen humans!

I grew up with Basset Hounds and my goodness theyre rhe best breed ever! They smell so bad but their love and stubborness wins. I miss the precense of them so much. Maybe when my 3 children are old enough, they will share the same joy as i did❤
