Absolutely insane skill! And the newer video of you skipping is incredible. I could watch an entire video of just skipping baits 😂 ASMR style. Despite my best efforts I cannot skip, yet here I am a year later trying to watch these again!

I worry about overrun on a bait caster with skipping. I've gotten pretty good at skipping a wacky rig on a spinning reel. Need to practice this.

Yes. Just use a bullet weight. Practice on pavement or baseball dirt infield.

Kind of a simple question but when feathering where would the thumb contact the spool, lower toward the reel seat or more up on top of the spool?
@BassFishingHQ4 жыл бұрын
Typically my thumbs rests partly on the release lever and the top part of my thumb is on the spool. Keeping part of your thumb on the lever allows you to be very constant with how much tension you put on the spool with your thumb

Nice video! Quick question, which braking system would you say is better for skipping; magnetic or centrifugal? Thanks
@BassFishingHQ3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I have never side by side compared them. I think either one of them will work, but magnetic might be a little faster

@Oldbasshole3 жыл бұрын
I’m gonna say no . Skipping a wacky rig is silly easy ( especially on spinning gear )
@troyseal9877 Жыл бұрын
I can put a jig anywhere I want but it's easier with a reel that has magnetic brakes. I started learning on a reel with centrifugal brakes and it's way harder.
