Dave from Paper Machete wrote the vocals and guitar here, and i designed the song to be a journey about obsessively chasing impossible goals in the classic human craving for acceptance, and then just LETTING GO of all the bullshit and falling backwards into freedom. Specifically this is about body image and how corrupt and maliciously our consumer culture brain-rapes people. it's about destroying the deathgrip of branding and corporate mind control and being yourself: ENJOY LIFE!

indeed! I remember finding this (at 54) ((now 57+)) and lost my happy mind at the simple and direct composition! Been an electronic music lover since 1974Wendy (Walter) Carlos and Tomita, Kraftwerk! I used to get the records from the library!!! Bassnectar does do synth sounds well. Not a fan of most dubstep

Sounds like it was a pretty deep experience. This year at Red Rocks when he played "Flashback" it brought me back to Earth from a VERY strange head space. Every time I listen to that song there is an incredible feeling of serenity and grounded-ness. Beautiful stuff.
