Dang another vid?? You're taking up too many fish near me lol, cool vids. Gulp seemed to be a little bit of a chore. Need to get ya one of them there little 'trout magnet' lures. All kidding aside I bought a 'magnet' kit for $2 a few weeks ago for some easy floats. Floated the pink jig for about 10min near dark on the P river. As I was swiftly reeling it in to go home I kid you not right as I lifted the float and jig out, a brown trout came about half out of the water and snapped at it! I couldn't believe it. Not that the brand had anything to do with it, but it was cool. That river is..., well, here's another. Kid you not, I seen a silver trout (rainbow) wheelie up out of the water head first about 8 inches (20-24"fish?) and 'tail walk' for about 4 or 5 feet out in the middle--like a doggy paddle. Only 40' or so away. Not to mention, also have heard 3 HUGE splashes after dark when no one was around. Literally like someone throwing an 8 inch rock in---kerr plunk style. The second time had to be a fish in his hole after dark on the other side of the bank from me, and the third time was at a huge slow/pond area out in the middle. All within a couple weeks, Bermuda Triangle style.

That’s crazy! I love trout magnets and I use them a lot when I’m fishing g smaller creeks. I’ve even used them ice fishing to. But gulp minnows have become my old faithful the past little while.

@@bassntroutfishing Just in case anyone's reading the comments, figured out the loud kerplunk splashes. Beaver at the third location, sight confirmed. He's annoying, and deliberately spooks all the fish when I walk by. I'm going to assume the other two instances were beavers as well. Although I often times most definitely have trout that jump and splash to let me and the other fish know. Such as when I turn away from the river, then red lamp on to change lures, then a fish jumps or slaps. Last one, the fish swimming with it's head poking out 4-5 inches or so for 4 or 5 feet straight well..., IDK. I swear it was silver with fish eyes, but certainly could have been a lighter beaver.
