I was always taught as a little guy to fish troll right along the edge of the ice when the ice is coming off. It can be the best fishing all year. Glad to see you hook up to some nice fish. Congrats on your biggest rainbow, I still remember the day I caught my biggest bow about 17 years ago.

There should be an apron that sits across front of the float tube. It really helps with keeping fly line out of water. All of those bows were super healthy. Great job dude. 🔥🎣💯💯

Really enjoyed the video. Cooking at the end was a good lesson as well - will try your simply but tasty method next time I have the chance. Thanks for a fun and entertaining video. Have no idea where you are - I live in Texas but do trout fishing in Arkansas, mostly the White River. Those little stocker rainbows cooked your way would make a great shore lunch with some beans and home fries. Hmmmm!

Just found your channel and really enjoy the content. You fish my old stomping grounds (grew up in the Sevier/Wayne/Emery county areas), unfortunately I live up north and don’t get to visit the area as much as I would like. But, I’m going to be at my cabin at Fish Lake in a couple weeks and will be hitting Otter Creek as well, doing some kayak fishing. Hopefully getting that 20lbs+ laker this year. Tight lines.

Nice I caught a couple good ones over the years, but I will always remember the golden rainbow trout. She’s been sitting there in the same spot for 4 years until last year I finally caught it and I hanged it up. She’s about 19 inches how I pretty much caught. It was me, and my grandfather and my best friend go out to our little fishing Hutting camp we went down to a farm and my grandfather dropped a white power bait and I picked it up. We saw the trout there. She was wouldn’t grab it, so we waited till we were about to leave. My grandfather had a white bait and I was using a white coach dog The fish kept going back-and-forth back-and-forth nibbling at it until I had an idea I had the power bait in my pocket, so I put it on the hook first cast, nothing second cast bam but hey, I’m just another fisherman and hey, we all have luck fishing either with us or away from us. They will always be with the fishing.

Any decent sporting goods store usually have them. I’m not sure which ones are the best ones though. I guess it just depends on how big or comfortable you want it. They probably all float pretty good id hope.

Here they eat scuds, snails, crawfish and minnows. Enough of anything and they’ll get pretty big.

@@bassntroutfishing i live in California, any trout west of sierra Nevada mountains are much smaller but any trout I catch east of serria are massive like what your catching, they just grow much faster & look healthier, it's probably the mountian water thats highly mineral enriched, there are alot of natural hot springs east of serria, all these western usa areas that once had active volcanoes seem to produce massive trout
