To be fair, it is way cheaper to make physical copies nowadays. I never really liked disk medias, that's why i only ever collected cartridges from snes and ds/3ds. The disc you buy today isn't standalone anymore, either way you get it, you will need to have a hard drive and some kind of internet connection to get updates or even entire games (Spyro), which kind of defeats the reason to have physical copies. And you can't really lend your copy to a friend or even rent a game to play for the weekend. I still miss those days.
