I have one mine is a 7ft 1in full contact 3/8 to 11/4 this rod all I need for me it's a casting rod in spinning rod Mojo Bass fast fast action from 3/16 to 5/8 with these two rods iam completely covered I fish form a yak. Two rods is all need I went a year ago and found a reel that I thought I never own at Cabela's it's a Shimano Calcutta 250 GTB. Casting reel they discontinue it it has 10 ball bearing it's one of high end gold reels I wish it was the 350 but I can't complain with this light rod the reel is a little heavy it balanced out nicely with this Victory rod love both of them St. Croix will be the one I buy from now on !!!!!!!!!!!!!

They reminded me of the NRX or 13 envy rods, but cheaper.

Any chance you can help us understand what the heck the technique names mean for the spinning and casting rods? Full contact, full contact finesse, the Marshall????

The marshall is a great all around, do everything rod where the full contacts are for more heavy duty applications!

6-10 med or 7-1 med for wacky/Ned rigs/ drop shot? I’m my arsenal of rods I’m lacking a great finesse application. I’m a kayak angler an I’m torn between the 610 an 7-1. All my rods are 7ft or longer. Never had a shorter rod. I’m going to be rigging this up with a shimano ultegra 2500

In all reality, either of those are great choices. If the wacky/ned/drop shot rigs you're running are on the lighter side, go with the 6'10". If they are on the heavier side or you are fishing around cover, go with the 7'1"!

Would a 200 size still pair well with the max tactical?

A 2000 size reel would work, but our preference would be a 3000 or even 4000 size reel. Larger spinning reels have smoother drag systems and will give you more control with that 7'3" rod!

7' 1" MH rod good for frog fishing?

A Medium Heavy rod would work when throwing a frog in open water, but if you plan to be fishing around heavy vegetation the 7'4" Heavy would be the better choice.
