Yeah but Bastille's songs are like interpretations which give us minor audiences to make a guess what's the meaning of behind those, which I like these kinds of songs tbh. However the major audiences with the music industry itself are too lazy to understand songs that interpret our reality and therefore they prefer simple generic pop-moving songs and they don't give a damn with the overused typical lyrics the generic ones have. And that's where Bastille's Joy comes in as an optional representation of the modern music industry. The song basically interprets that we just want happiness and ignore the problems or crisis we have in the world. And that also explains the fact that modern audiences now just want to listen pop songs to feel happy so that they can ignore the bad stuffs.

I knew one of their songs was going to get me teary. This one got me. It reminds me of the calls my girlfriend, and I have at night talking about our days. That hasn't been happening as much, because of responsibilities, and time constraints. It's truly understandable.
