Bastl Instruments microGranny 2 syncronizes to MIDI clock

The microGranny 2 is a really unique sound device. The Monophonic Granular Sampler engine automatically syncronizes to MIDI clock, no matter how you're tweaking the samples with the live knobs. For me it's clearly a must have tool for any experimental live performer as well as in any studio environment. So far it's running rock stable and tight to MIDI clock.
This is an example how to tweak and play sounds with the microGranny 2 while it's syncronized to MIDI clock. I recorded live and added a bass drum to get a better idea of the sync possibilities.
BTW, the sounds are part of my low-fi, industrial sound bank project I'm currently creating for the MicroGranny 2.

Wow! So you could have a drumbreak on the granny and the sample would automtically play slower or faster according to midi clock? That's great!

Nah, I think it just triggers at beat intervals, nothing else.

Good demonstration of the sync possibilities of the microgranny. I will keep an eye out on youtube in case you plan to put out songs with your sound bank. I posted a few jams incorporating the mg, you could check m out.

Perfect, your movie answers a lot of my questions. I have two more, maybe you can help: How long can the samples be? Is there any limit? How quickly the samples load? I am talking about live performance - how does it work?

Hmm, I don't know if there is a limit. I checked my sample bank and the longest one I used so far is 22 seconds. The samples you bind to the six buttons can be changed immediate without any delay. I used it already for live performance, just switch between them by pressing the buttons. It worked fine for me. But if you want to change a sample that is bound to a button then there's a significant delay which depends on the sample size.

As far as I remember the gear wasn't noisy. At least I haven't recognized any. The 8-bit just cuts the higher frequencies which I found not too bad in a studio or live environment.

can I ask how do you syncronize the instruments and witch instruments?, where do you send the idi from microgranny....in withc order with the others machines?

In this video the microGranny is syncronized from a DAW via a Midi interface. Audio output of the microGranny is connected via a mixer to an audiointerface and recorded in the DAW where I added afterwards the bass drum.
