@iamjoyandlove5917 жыл бұрын
Well, I think that "Laura" is Natasha and actually everbody of us. "When your smile is so wide and your heels are so high, you can´t cry..." It means that she can´t show her real emotions in public life. As how each of us, when we are sad, unhappy or when we have melancholic mood, we can´t just seat and cry. Sometimes we have to pretend we are happy and everything is OK. And if you saw some Bat for lashes´s interviews, you could see how she´s smiling all the time. She looks so happy and optimistic. But her song prove us, that she is sad sometimes. But she just can´t show it. And also I think, that this song is about love, which is destroying us and we know it. "You're the train that crashed my heart you're the glitter in the dark..." But we also know, that we need it, because it´s the only think, which can save us. It´s our glitter in the dark and it gives us a hope...

What a talent BfL is. And such a beautiful and profound song. The video, though seemingly simple, is so deep and moving and with the great Terence Stamp. So many thanks.

I feel like this song is about the contempt we find in our adult lives, settling for whats easy instead of following the dream we imagined when we were younger. The isolation we feel even when being recognized because we are not happy with the end result of love and life.

My name is Laura, and my daughter sent this to me today. I’m still crying bittersweet tears, I’m so grateful for her. She knows how much I want to dance again, and how sorry I am that illness and injury have disabled me, and changed our lives. For now, I’m still fighting💪❤️🔥🔥

This woman is so exotic, intriguing and very naturally beautiful, both inside and out. The sounds being emitted from her vocal chords.......Wow!!! So damn talented and she should be right up there with the very best and she shouldn't be so underrated. She deserves much more musical attention. I first heard of her years ago and i became hooked immediately. I love her strong and clear, slightly smoky and husky voice. I love all her vocals and her sometimes dark musical vocals/sounds. Thank you for sharing and sending peace, light and positivity to all.

my heart is alternating breaking and rejoicing. this video and song, this woman at the end of her performing life. her eyes, her stance. so heartbreaking, so poignant, so stunningly beautiful. i have not seen something so filled with real emotion in music. i will have my grade 8 students do a dance to this. this has stayed with me for weeks now. damn it, someone is cutting onions beside me!

I just saw 'The Glass Menagerie' by Tennesse Williams and I could swear that this song was written about the play's tragic character, also called Laura, who was scorned by the world, spends all her time withdrawn from other people. She has been 'left behind' and lives in her own ethereal world, 'a pale blue dream', frequently being referred to as 'Blue Roses'. In the play she's 'the last unicorn' in a world of horses and only her beloved brother recognises her as such. This song sounds like it's being told from his perspective, conveying all his sadness for Laura's insular and enigmatic ways. I was disbelief to find that this wasn't in fact Natasha's inspiration for this song. Both pieces of art make me cry lol.

I'm not sure what is the most gorgeous thing about Natasha. Whether it's her talent, her voice, her eyes, her lips/mouth, her hair, or something else entirely. Either way, she is stunningly gorgeous! I love this so much! It is so dark and so haunting. And top marks for whoever dreamed up this vid. It works almost too perfectly. Just superb... \m/ (:o)

The facts that this song brought so many here from a show that put ALOT of transgender points in it, but didn’t make the whole show about it.. and now millions are here listening to this song which is deeper than any of us could have imagined ..... I am not transgender or anything but I have severe bipolar depression and anxiety and this song means everything to me. I play it thru my panic attacks or crying moments... and I’m good by the end man. God bless all.this song could mean anything to anyone. That’s what’s so beautiful....

This song is dedicated to Laura Elizabeth Campbell who is good friends with Natasha Khan. Why else would Natasha make a direct reference to RHPS via "In this 'horror show'"? Columbia's awesome.
