Real artists are never appreciated by the masses, they don’t care and know what art is and truly deeply beautiful art is. I have a degree in art and normally listen to alternative metal and rock music, but when I heard bat for lashes I was hooked at a deeper soul level, the spaces between the lyrics increase with intensity and tension of the music.

The guitar evokes Twin Peaks, gives me an image of a rippling reflection on a lake. I often get lost in this song. And though I've never had a long lasting relationship with anyone, this album makes me turn around and think of the romantic relationship I have with myself, the times I failed in being my own hero - and how part of me symbolically died leaving the other part helpless but stronger in time.

My first year of college , i was lonely as fuck ,completely new town, didnt know anyone and no girlfriend. All my free time i would spend to get high and listen Bat for Lashes. It help me to not kill myself. I would build a monument to this girl if i could.

Lady Gaga has a millionth of the artistic integrity of Natasha Khan. She is so in love with her art that’s it’s not for everyone but the peoples it’s for, she sort of chose us

Morrissey saved my life when I was at college in the 80s know what I mean but this lady is harnessing the same power to know someone else has the same depth of solitude really helps you through, something so pure in her sound who gives a toss about gaga, big gals blouse that it is ?????

This woman makes the most beautiful music. She's my soul sister! her music touches the deepest and most emotional parts of my soul. The bride is a beautiful album. Im going through a particularly dark period in my life and this album is very relatable.
@Samsqautch7 жыл бұрын
The Expression Studio I found her music when I was young, and going through a particularly murky time myself. Back then, her music was the definition of how I felt which was pretty hard to pinpoint. I'm glad others are experiencing what I did, because her music really helped me.

There's a tear in my lover's eyes He's at my window, it's a gloomy night Said he dreamt of God's search light It remembered his name Lays his hand gently to my face Through the promise of wedding lace And I feel his dark embrace As my baby, he cries I'm falling in love (Don't say goodbye) I'm falling like a star from above (Don't say goodbye) And I finally found my pot of gold (Don't say goodbye) And now I can't see just what my heart can hold But what does it mean? The bad things that I've seen He saw angels at his bedroom door And a body on a checkered floor There was lightning in his black leather And it struck out his name No more tears, baby, please don't cry I tried to tell him everything is fine Cross my heart and hope to die I won't say goodbye Cause I'm falling in love (Don't say goodbye) I'm falling like a star from above (Don't say goodbye) And I finally found my pot of gold (Don't say goodbye) And now I can't see just what my heart can hold But what does it mean? The bad things that I've seen Oh, what does it mean? The bad things that I've seen What does it mean? The bad things that I've seen

My name is Laura and when I was a teenager I saw a guy with green hair for the first time. His name was Joe. I had always felt so different and alone and Joe with the green hair helped me embrace my feelings of ostracisation. Bat for lashes feels like stories of my life bringing old feelings around to a place of finish and unity. We all are aliens in our alien nation. We are never alone.

I am writing this now Dec. 2021 but have followed you for many, many years and am never disappointed in your prose and the stories you can uncover within a song. Amazing, amazing. For me this song speaks to me from a difficult and sad relationship with a woman who was/is terribly mentally impaired - spoke to me completely. Take good care. You are one amongst the universe.
