Hey lovely! How often should i be using YOUR drops on my scalp? And to use the Batana oil as a prepoo, does it sit for 8 hours like coconut oil?
@KarenofCurlHouse3 ай бұрын
Hey there Ms Regina! Now that's a GREAT QUESTION! My drops are water based as opposed to oil based so they can be applied more liberally and regularly, so I typically recommend 3-4x per week,. Also, I am not sure if it takes 8 hours to penetrate (I haven't read studies that verify this for batana oil), however coconut and batana have similar properties so I would recommend overnight penetration as well.
@creamycazz12 ай бұрын
Omg pls don’t ever let any oil sit in your scalp for more than 4 hrs, unless you want excessive shedding and/or scalp issues. Contrary to popular belief & just like she mentioned in the video, you can get scalp infections from excess oil b/c oil is what the malassezia (natural yeast on your scalp, the same ones that cause dandruff when out of control) feeds off of! Oil usually penetrates in just 45 min - 2 hours, so DO NOT leave this on your hair overnight- unless you are asking for trouble. You’re actually supposed to shampoo once it’s penetrated. I’m speaking from experience as someone with thick 4c natural hair who couldn’t understand why I was experiencing so much shedding & scalp issues. It took years of research and going thru medical journals to finally realize this!

Is it possible for Batana oil work for revitalizing hair growth with scarring alopecia?
@KarenofCurlHouse2 ай бұрын
Hey there! Batana oil does have properties in it that encourages growth, however, with scarring alopecia there are many other steps you need to take to stabilize the inflammation. And if the hair follicle is no longer viable, there is nothing you apply topically to encourage growth. Have you seen a dermatolgoist or trichologist?

If it says the oil is from Honduras but it's a product of China, is that fake?

That's certainly questionable: This is the one I recommend: batanababe.com/?ref=KARENFLOWERS And here's a video about you can tell the difference between real and fake: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnnMeGd7m7OIjsU

I purchased from Batana Babe and mine doesn’t smell like coffee. Instead it smells like an ashtray. Should I be worried?
@KarenofCurlHouse2 ай бұрын
Hey Tonya! There are 2 main smells to real batana oil. Strong coffee vs a Burnt smell. The burnt smell is from the extraction process. Remember Batana oil is extracted from the nut and the kernels that are left are in the batana, so if it smells like an ashtray -- that smells burnt to me. Here's an article: batanababe.com/blogs/guide/what-does-batana-oil-smell-like?_pos=1&_sid=928d28856&_ss=r

My teacher for Honduras just told me the same thing. The internet is trying to change it something that it’s not. She said bantana most definitely is a palm oil and it goes by other names as well
@leilabachir7261Ай бұрын
It is actually palm KERNEL oil. Which is different from palm oil that is from palm flesh oil.
