I absolutely love batch cooking! I recommend it to everyone, whether on your own or in a family, it just saves so much time, money & hassle. I really got into it for about 2 years, but lost my mum suddenly in January, & it just threw me, & with the gross summer we’ve had I just haven’t got back into it. Hoping to do so soon! I echo the suggestion of cornstarch, just a teaspoon diluted with the teeniest amount of water, stirred & then pop into whatever dish needs thickening, cook it down a bit & it should work wonders! Some people use smash for a thickener too! Yeh… mayflower is my favourite curry too, but it’s Chinese based, if you don’t know (I only found this out last year as I follow a channel called Chin & Choo based on Chinese takeaway food), making Chinese curry sauce from scratch is GRIM lol. It takes possibly days, infusing all these herbs / spices in a huge vat of oil, skimming it.. oh lawd no! Different to Indian curry’s where you can brown spices & build it up at home. I’ll stick to mayflower curry powder 😂 Enjoy your week on delicious meals, I must try that crustless quiche recipe out! X

@@TheSliceOfJess or chia that's a thickener. I'm transitioning onto low carb high protein and going to batch cook I think it will make it easier to stay on track. I'm the UK where did you get the meal containers and white chocolate flavouring?

Potato starch and flour are the worst things for inflammation in the body, insulin resistance and therefore hindering any long term healthy body or losing any weight. Calories are negligible when following a healthy low carb lifestyle. It goes off the macros and what spikes your insulin, which in turn, makes you get inflammation and load on the weight. Carbs and sugars are deadly

I love meal prepping as well, it helps me stay on track. A potato in the soup would also help thicken it up. That was a huge cook day. It reminded me to make some overnight oats soon. I will tend to make a recipe every few days and eat one or two portions and freeze the rest, it helps me split the work over the week.
