Great quality film footage. This is a different version than I'm used to seeing which shows the William Dozier opening: "A deserted warehouse on the outskirts of town, and a ticking bomb spells trouble for Batman and Robin". Then when Batgirl says, "I've worked for you a long time and I'm paid less than Robin", Robin replies: "Holy discontent!" Then when the bell rings, Batman says "Can we talk about this, later?" Then Dozier says: "Will Batgirl save the Dynamic Duo? Will she get equal pay? Tune in tomorrow, or contact the Wage & Hour Division listed in your phone book under the U.S. Department of Labor."

That's the version I saw as well. I had a DVD with that on it. It also had the unreleased Batgirl origin episode, several variations of the Batman 1966 movie trailer (including a foreign language one), and some footage of Batman on stage or something like that.

I had the good fortune to have met Yvonne Craig at a Ray Courts film show and asked her about this commercial, specifically if Batman was actor Dick Gautier to which she replied yes.She had an interesting acting resume and was an extremely kind person
@larsulrich27612 жыл бұрын
Boy it would have been interesting if Robin (Burt Ward) hit the media circuit after this commercial and let loose. He was only paid $450 a 30 minute episode during the third season. Yvonne Craig was paid $1250 an episode so she was the Second highest paid actor on the set with only the main character Adam West making more than her.
@CarlosGarcia-vd2xh2 жыл бұрын
To be fair, though, Yvonne Craig had to do ALL of her own stunts (except for riding the horse in the Penguin episode), while Adam and Burt had their own stuntmen for the wide shots in the fight scenes. Therefore, she did have to work more, and devote more time for each episode than did the dynamic duo.
@larsulrich27612 жыл бұрын
@@CarlosGarcia-vd2xh O.k. so either you are trolling or you are just ignorant. Burt Ward not having a stunt double and even ending up in the hospital because of this is well documented. So she did not have to work more than Burt Ward and in fact over the three years they took much greater risks filming with Burt than Yvonne.
@JohnnyGNV2 жыл бұрын
@@larsulrich2761 Yes, he did have a Stunt double as is evident in the distant shots - however, his stunt double did not look that much like him and there was an instance where Burt did get injured during a fight scene.
