Thank you Mrs. Soap and Clay, your videos are always so informative and educational, I always have something to take away from your videos and new techniques or ideas that can help me. Together with yourself and the Duchess of Suds at Royalty Soaps, I have been able to start my own home business in Canada making soaps by taking in the information you have given me, testing my batches and making mistakes that help me grow my business and my skills. Thank you! 🥰

I loved these melts so much and wanted to make them just like yours - so I found a silicone mold maker and had her make me the macaron molds. I just got them in and my plan is to make some tomorrow. I cannot wait. You do the most awesome stuff!

So the consistency of that batter… can you scoop it with an ice cream scoop? Will it hold that shape?

You are my very favorite soaper!!! Thank you for giving me the tools to learn on my own. For the mold, all I am seeing is 3d macarron molds. Will that work?? Or do I need to find a 1/2 mold :)
@iKit3063 жыл бұрын
So the texture of that batter looks like what I've seen from bath truffle videos. Are these bath melts similar to or another name for bath truffles? Or does that make the list of bath additives now include bombs, truffles, and melts?
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
I would say a truffle and a melt are very similar - just different ratios of butters to the bath bomb type ingredients. Plus Clay, for all of the things. 😜

Quick question, because I am having trouble finding still, is THIS video day 48 as well as 345? I tried looking up day 48, but that is not pulling up and I also looked through the library of videos and it is not there either. 🤔 I love watching your videos! So fun and informational. Love the science-y stuff behind it! 😁
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
So I will put it up in the next hour or so - KZbin analytics are tough when I put videos up too close together. But yes, it is Day 48. :)
@sabrinamuckridge73553 жыл бұрын
Maybe I missed it? I know you said half a cookie per bath, but if I’m looking at another mold, about what size or how much would about 1/2 a cookie equate too...what’s the actual recommended measurable serving size? I have the rest of it all written down, but unsure of approximately how much to mold per bath. Hopefully that makes any sense. I just want to make sure I have a mold that will work before I try making them.
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
I would say 1oz is a good weight per bath.
@sabrinamuckridge73553 жыл бұрын
One more question, what is poly? Is it ploysorbate 80, I think that’s what it’s called. I made them with no color and obviously no poly cause I don’t have it and my recipe ended up not the same consistency as yours, so I added more clay and by the time I finished molding it was dry, but still seem to work well. Just want to get your take on it. I just used a paw print mold because I had it and right amount per melt. Fly, even if I screwed it up, it’s my new favorite bath time goody!!!
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
Hey! Poly is polysorbate, yes. Not necessary if you aren’t using micas. :)
@pattiemoseley87523 жыл бұрын
I have done the research but I just wanted to make sure. Can I substitute grapeseed oil for safflower oil?
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! We use sunflower for allergy purposes, but any lightweight oil will work!

@@MrsSoapAndClay thank you. Now if I can get this humidity under control, I might be able to make a batch lol

Hi , Does the frosting go hard? Thanks Debbie from Western Australia.
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
Hi! It never goes fully solid and hard like a bath bomb or a bath melt. It has some squishy qualities to it while still solidifying between the cookies.

@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
I know! Like, it’s in the video, mostly. 😂 Yup so if you aren’t using micas, you don’t need the poly- it’s just to help the colors disperse better in the water. :)

How much poly did you use?
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
Just a splash. Not needed if you’re not using micas.
@MrsSoapAndClay3 жыл бұрын
The recipe should be fine if you used more than a splash; Poly is very forgiving and is realistically only in this recipe to ensure the oils and micas distribute in the water and don’t leave a sparkly ring in the tub.
