Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to wash my 2021 Freightliner Cascadia with me! I took it to a local car wash that had a bay big enough to almost fit my truck in it. I treat my lady to a good Blue Beacon wash then use rv wash to maintain. Yes I definitely tip because those guys do work hard and always make sure I’m pleased before leaving!

I highly recommend the JLE Truck Wash: it's behind the Portland Jubitz at the Market Express yard: the line is always shorter and they do a really excellent job!

SHELBY, I THINK YOU HAVE AN OIL LEAK SOMEWHERE. That looks like oil or grease on the back of the sleeper.That is where the turbulence throws it if you have an engine or transmission oil leak, or a differential oil leak.

There are self serve truck washes similar to what this video shows. I remember one in joplin mo.. On rangeline rd. It was fot tractor trailers etc. The professional truck washes use commercial duty cleaners for trucks. Truly the best results. Self serve truck washes can be cheaper but a totally clean truck is more time.

I did took my VOLVO to the RV wash but it’s a big pain washing it by your self!!! So I decided to take my truck to the Blue Beacon where they use good chemicals to clean the Truck….I will never wash my Truck again at the RV Wash never again!! Good Luck Washing your Truck ☺️☺️

You should try 303 Aerospace instead of Armor All, it was developed for airplanes and will protect everything from UV rays. It isn't greasy and doesn't attract dirt like Armor All, you can find it next to Armor All in stores also

A nice high pressure heated power washer at the shop, a bucket of soap, a good long wash brush, a hand mitt, and 3 hours every weekend is how I get it done 😂

Truck washes use a lot stronger soap. And better brushes. Car wash places wont use the same soap to reduce liability. White paint is actually a pain to get white again. The chemicals on the road and the sun will yellow it.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and purchase one of the window washer brushes with the extendable poles, the concentrate window soap for short term cleaning, and a 5 gallon Homer Homeowner bucket. Since you're on the road more than home, Amazon has heavy duty truck wash soap in concentrate that a gallon will go a long way. One last thing you NEED, is a good lock lubricant to clean the crud that gets inside the key locks. Houdini lock lubricant is the best stuff out there for cleaning and lubricating locks.

Old t-shirts work great as sponges/cloths to scrub that muck off and no chance of scratching anything (so long as you wash grit off first)

Yay .... finally another video ! But yeah , When I was still driving I always tipped the Blue Beacon guys . They only get paid hourly and don't really make all that much , and they never require tips but they are always VERY appreciative when they do get them ( and it helps them to remember you the next time you go in ) . The company I worked for required us to swing by our shop once every 30 days for maintenance and I always walked over to greet the head mechanic when I went in ( always had a $50 bill folded up in my palm ) . He always made sure my truck was 100% when I rolled out and one time I was hit with a surprise inspection going into California , but because of that head mechanic I was able to roll right thru and even came out of that with my California Safety sticker on my truck . It's just good business to give that little extra and know that you're good for whatever is coming .

Biggest problem with changing your own oil is what do you do with the 10 to 15 gallons of old oil and all the filters. And they also lube it

Changing the fuel filter can be a pain if you lose prime in the system. That little manual prime pump is about worthless.

That's why you should take it to the truck wash at least twice a month. A new truck. You should have Pride in your Ride. That's a lot of money to spend. You should at least keep it looking good

Ok; I guess I'll be the negative one in the bunch. I love the channel, been watching since before you came over to the rat race we call Fedex. I have a ton of appreciation for what you are accomplishing, as I'm also a Linehaul driver for fedex ground, but come on girl, show people what we do here at fedex. You have a massive outreach via this channel, and I would like to see more driving/trips/adventure. Get a time lapse dash cam and show people who are unfamiliar with driving interesting parts of the country, things like cabbage pass or how gorgeous spring is up here in the Pacific Northwest. Show some driving videos- explain to them why even though we can't go 80mph, when we try to merge into the left lane, it's important to let us over!!! (Because they can't see the disabled vehicle/emergency vehicle ahead of us) Show how dangerous some of these idiots drive!! The thing about this video is most of us team 6,000+ miles a week- it's a sacrifice for sure- and the LAST thing we think about doing after 5 to 6 hard days of driving is handwashing our tractor.. You could've made a trip to the blue beacon just as interesting because your channel is so enjoyable. Just my two cents. Keep it up, and look forward to running into you someday.
