Yeah, I noticed that you have it all the way to the back of the tub. How can you recline back if it’s in the back of the tub?

Thank you for the excellent video. Can you tell me if you can use it without the back?... just would want it for the lift up and down due to bad knees.... , and then I would want to just stretch out on my back while in the tub... ?.

Hi the Aquatec R has a removable back I’m looking at getting it

How do you clean the bath ? Is the unit easily removable and reinstalled? Also are the metal parts protected from rust/ soap etc after soaking in bath water?
@goldielocksg72082 ай бұрын
I just started to set one up and red light on charger no light on remote as it said but when I pushed one of the buttons on the remote the light came on and was green but charger red. I'm guessing it was pre charged so I disconnected it to turn the remote light off and will wait until the charging light turns green for a full charge.

Ic remote drops in tub, what happens
@honestnewsnet14 күн бұрын
It needs to be designed where when you go down into the water, it automatically has the option to recline back.

Can you use this if you have a shower door
@GrayingWithGrace10 ай бұрын
Yes, as long as the door opens wide enough to get it through the opening. The lift operates inside the tub walls and shouldn’t interfere with the door at all.

How did you actually physically get from standing outside of the tub to sitting on the chair? My Mom's 85 and I need to know exactly how you got yourself, physically, onto the chair. From standing outside of the tub, did you turn sideways and struggle to lower your butt onto the wing of the chair, then struggle to get your feet and legs over the side of the tub?

My husband has the tub lift. He backs up and sits on it, swings his feet around, and positions himself in the chair.

Excellent demonstration and explanation. We are considering this product, but my concern is that MAIDeSite's website and, for that matter, Amazon's listing hardly mentions the use of this in a bathtub at all. All their illustrations and examples are about getting up from the floor. They do say that it is waterproof. I'm wondering if we'd be better off getting a tub lift specifically designed for a water environment. (I suppose it's possible that all such products have dual functions in mind.) Thanks.
@GrayingWithGrace10 ай бұрын
When I initially made these videos, they had two separate listings on Amazon. One for chair lift and another for bath lift. But because it was the same product, I suspect Amazon made them combine them into one. It is waterproof and also designed for use in tub. It actually started as a tub lift.

If you have a walk-in shower, just put a shower chair or waterproof patio chair in the walk-in shower.

The problem I see, is my arms are not long enough to turn the water off and on if I'm sitting on the chair.

My husband uses a tub lift for his bathing needs. At times, I assist by running the bathwater for him. The seat of the lift is adjustable and can be positioned closer to easily access and control the water. Additionally, he has a handheld showerhead, which is convenient for filling the tub and rinsing as needed.

Doesn't look high enough for people with sit to stand and balance problems
@GrayingWithGrace9 ай бұрын
You are right but it's not designed for sit to stand applications. It's main function is to help you get over the tub edge safely and then to lower you down into the water and return you to a sitting position. It could help if poor balance keeps you from tripping over the tub edge. Hope this helps!
@catnip34209 ай бұрын
@@GrayingWithGrace Not using to stand but for falls. I asked because its hard to stand up from a chair with a seat height of 18 inches. So If the person falls will still need to get up off the seat after. If its not high enough without arm rests its very difficult for a person with no balance. Thanks

@@catnip3420 My concern for my disabled mother is that there are no bars/handles on the sides to help her get up off of it. I appreciate the details he's sharing but the video starts from him already sitting on the seat. It would help to see someone making a video that actually shows a disabled person utilizing it from start to finish.

It would be better if a couple inches higher. I would comment that anyone who needs this chair should have a mobile phone in reach for any reason including a rare reason the chair doesn't lift you back up. One person on another brand while reading reviews of a chair like this said she got stuck for a long time in the tub and hope she had a towel to grab to keep her warm and emptied the water while waiting. She didn't have a phone.in reach you could out on a object on the floor or tie a string to it to pull to you.

I'll be 66 in 2 months and I have never taken a bath after I was old enough to take care of myself. I'm not sitting in no dirty water. Is a shower for me everyday. 2 months worth just to take a bath you will be cold by the time you get out of it. Just get a walk-in tub and put you something to sit on. In the shower
