Lovely old school install ...but I am afraid you would find it hard to make money out of it ...unless you are being paid by the hour ...we would have done the first fix in plastic and the second fix in copper ....that the way its done nowadays...Good luck anyway.

I agree with tbe comments on hard piping the toilet frame especially as you had to rip out tiling in another toilet frame a few videos ago! I tend to use all soldered connections behind panels inc adaptors. So I know im not going to have any future issues. Flexys are notorious at leaking over time. You've swapped out loads . As others have said its peace of mind at the end of the day.

I think anyone who works for themselves has to be flexible. You have to be able to give the price that makes you a profit. Any customer who thinks you have one way to price a job is wrong. Both you and the customer have to be happy. That's why recommendations are important. This helps to develop trust on both sides.

I'd like to ask a question if I may. I've just installed new joists 20 inches above the original floor, (all new joists) but won’t be removing old joists as there the ceiling of the downstairs room. I've removed the old floorboards and intend to use them on the top of the new floor joists, so the floor will appear to be the same as it was before but at the same level as the rest of the upper floor. I’m converting this room in to a bathroom; I've been reading up on zero rated areas and understand that but it’s not clear to me about under the floor when it comes to a bathroom. So at last to my question, is it ok to have, I.E lighting cables under the floor as I have some for the lights downstairs room. Any help would be appreciated.

Great video again Mark, is there an argument for using plastic pipe for that shower to save all that bending ? or was it customers call? Enjoyed as per usual
@MJTiffPlumbing
@MJTiffPlumbing Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate If you use plastic people say you should use copper. If you use copper people say you should use plastic…… It’s all down….. in my view anyway….. what the customer wants to spend as copper is a lot more expensive and time consuming but a “better job” shall we say

Good vid as always Mark. 👍 Quick question if you don't mind. Am I right in assuming the brass wall plates sit behind the tile line when it's tiled so you don't have to worry about the front/back positioning of them?
@MJTiffPlumbing
@MJTiffPlumbing Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, the front edge of the brass will sit flush with the tile…. Then the fitting goes into that👍🏼👍🏼
