What kind of caulking did you use with the backer board to shower pan

Ur a hard worker. Looks great. When u getting on board with the pex A ?
@nbuford7 күн бұрын
I invested in a Pex A setup for re-piping my entire 70s home. Worth the $500 tool investment IMO. Pex A keeps the same pipe diameter through joints and transitions (Pex B joints are smaller), the elastic barbed joint seems more robust, and Pex A has better elasticity (considering I live in cold climate with freeze potential).

Looks good, do you ever have those levelers not break off correctly? I use the spin type and am sick of them breaking off. Thanks

Never get enough watching your videos. Great camera work and editing too. Will sign up for your tutorial early next year. What size nails do you use with the gun? Thx

Thanks 👍 3 1/4” for framing, 2 3/8” for blocking. Be happy to help in a course when ready 👍

Great job as usual. When you apply the silicone in the corners and along the shower pan, what are you spraying on the bead of caulk before you wipe away with your finger? What’s in the spray bottle and if it’s a mixture of two or more things, what’s the approximate ratio? Thanks.

I’m not sure what he’s doing but a good strategy is to use glass cleaner, especially the Costco brand. It is a great lubricant and doesn’t stain the grout.

Did you apply the Kerdi banding with adhesive/sealant? I never thought of this,but it looks like a time saver!😮

Kerdi sealant at shower flange and thinset on go board 👍

Is the kerdi band a necessity or just an extra layer of waterproofing?

Have you ever tried “ Truewerk” pants? Like you nothing but Carharts then someone talked me into just buying one pair? Now I refuse to wear anything else. No restrictions, wear like iron, plenty pockets. They stain up and are expensive? But 4/5 pairs last me 3 yrs. Maybe not that long for you ? Heck those pro knees are not cheap ! I got this theory? No cheap tool, no cheap shoes, no cheap pants ? Wear all the cheap T shirts u want ? Heck they R all cheap? Great video!

That tile looks basic as hell. I wouldnt have remodeled my bathroom just for it to look bland. Good work but the owner maybe is just a boring individual

Older customers are also more traditional and don’t take as many risks. Nor do folks appealing to broad markets in resale.

I never understood this upgrade or reno to just have a "meh" bathroom. Live a little people you don't have to go crazy but would a little design style kill you?
@evanv60211 күн бұрын
I’m a shower/tub renovator. I use acrylic for the walls. I love the look of tile but it’s a process and i don’t have time for it. I use corner beads for waterproofing and i’ve never had a call back/issue with leaks.
@PoisonJarl7150111 күн бұрын
Not everyone wants intricate fad tile. Large format always looks good and it’s faster/cheaper
