Another great guide. This is one of those tracks, that after it's learned, is one of the most gratifying laps to be found in sim racing.

All except one, or two...unfortunately for you guys lol. Obviously we had Donington at the begining of the season and then Imola in a couple of weeks time, that won't be done before the race either.

I'll trust your guide, tonight race is rain, will stay off those kerbs, hopefully will survive. checked only to find out regarding turn 4 and turn ready for sky line into turn 11 (the bump) and braking technique "before infamous dipper". I do trail brake a bit at last and you as well TBH in new BMW. I'm doing everything correct but in aggressive setup into turn 4 I have to lift and turn, straighten my wheel and then brake before turning left. can't do it flat out as you. Your help much appreciated!

Great guides these. I'm new to wheel setups and ACC, but these are really helpful. Still a couple of seconds off venturing online but the journey is fun.

this made me feel better about my pb in the bentley being 2:01.5 aiming for a 2:00 dead before a 6 hour endurance race next weekend
@Yorkie0659 ай бұрын
The demonstration lap is meant to be just that, rather than outright pace. Grip level is on fast, rather than optimum and I don't really touch the setup other than brake pads and tyre pressures. A 2:01 is a great time though! Pretty much right on my usual pace round here too. I'd be focusing on being consistent for the endurance race rather than outright pace, as keeping out of the pits and not getting damage will be the quickest way to the front.

I am struggling to break 2:09.... I was told to watch some track guides.. so I found this one... I literally do everything in the guide and cannot figure out where i am losing time....
@SzwarcuKX52 жыл бұрын
I can't get consistant 2:07's in my Porsche. They reduced grip levels since the release of this video, so pro alien time is around 2:01, 2:02 now. Good sunday plebs like us should do under 2:10 :)
@nickn88122 жыл бұрын
Yep same here... I drive same technique as this track guide Even a perfect lap with no mistakes and pushing to the limit in the Porsche 2019 991 I can only pull a 2:09. No where near 2:02. I'm not convinced this game is hasn't changed its physics model at some point
@aditsatt Жыл бұрын
Same. Everything in this video except for the last two corners in the uphill section & I'm braking lesser in some places downhill with similar stability and still can't break 2:10 Can anyone help understand why? Does setup bring over 5 secs pace? I've tried both the Safe & Aggressive Presets and put the fuel to 4L

I like your track guides. The only thing that i don't realy like is the rotations you do to the images, sometimes i get a bit lost on where i'm looking at. In some images the track is going from left to right in the next one is going right to left... and it gets a bit weird. But the info that you provide is really good! keep up the great work!👍

@Yorkie0652 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Keep practicing and you'll get there. I'd go fairly stiff on the springs, low bump stops and get the aero balance to something that you feel comfortable with.

ack this is 2 yr old, but if i can give (hopefully) constructive feedback; I know the track relatively well from the cockpit, but many of the markers shown from the bird's-eye; and orientated in all different directions, was a bit like seeing an unfamiliar track for the first time. That's maybe to do with the geographical direction of the road, but when driving you only EVER see the track going one direction (ahead). Some of the bird's eye views were close and showed very little reference points, and i couldn't tell even which way the direction of travel was, or which exact corner was being talked about. This could be enhanced greatly by showing either a map reference, an/or orientating the entry to every turn as 6'oclock (also a great way to scale corners against eachother), and/or having the camera wider as to show more of where that reference position actually is on the circuit. The "fly-by" cameras were also not overly helpful as they didn't represent how a car would pass through the turn. very helpful otherwise. cheers.
@Yorkie0657 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. Others have picked up on similar points on other guides too. I remember this one was quite tricky because of the typography of the track with sweeping bends so framing things was a little difficult. Other track guides are better with a bit more of a consistent design language in terms of the camera placement depending on the corner direction. As for the fly-by cameras, they're more to show the shape of the curbs at the apex and then the exit curbing, rather than how the car would pass through the corner. Hopefully that helps explain their intention, but again cheers for the feedback!

Totally useless guide, showing corners from above where you can't relate to what you are actually seeing while driving.
