You just made me think of another perspective on this I hadn't considered before. The streaming services themselves are highlighting the value of physical media. If they were smart, the way to convince people to get their service and not physical media, they need to MAKE CERTAIN that what they offer is ALWAYS AVAILABLE to their customers. As soon as it isn't, they plant the seed in their subscribers with the question, "What am I paying for?" And this young lady makes it clear it's not just us old-timers thinking this. And I've been saying since the days of Limewire and The Pirate Bay - these companies seem hell bent on SENDING people to the High Seas! They make it almost compulsory. And it's just money they are leaving on the table.

Right!? It's really that simple for them, but for whatever reason, a reason I grateful for, they're showing the importance of physical media more and more. If they were smart streaming and physical should work hand in hand making everyone money, but alas they aren't smart. Truly you either have to pirate, or go physical, they've dobe ut to themselves. Nice to see the younger generation stick up for physical, makes me happy.

@@FanZceneVids Well, sometimes you have to do both; pirate AND go physical. Like I've often said: Get Physical Media, even if you have to make it yourself.

My son asked me last night if I had an extra vcr as he wanted to put together a retro room. I happily gave him one and 20 tapes I had doubles of. Proud Dad here. Had to quickly educate him on care and maintenance and the importance of keeping all magnets away from him tapes. And the occasional need to hit old analog tech to release static buildup.

That's right i see it to that many younger people like to watch older Movies they never see it bevor and that's a good thing when you ask me. We need to Preservation of Physical Media not just for the Collectors and Movie Lovers like us older ones but for those younger Generation that get a taste from those older stuff we grew up with. ALL WE WANT IS THE PHYSICAL MEDIA, JUST LEAVE THE PHYSICAL AND GO AWAY, LEAVE THE DVD'S, THE BLURAYS, THE 4K ,HD TVS, THE PLAYERS, THE SURROUND SYSTEMS, 💿📼📀 "GODSPEED" 🤘

Lots of teens and even preteens that I know like physical media. They read books, watch Blue-rays, play physical vdieogames, and listen to CD and vinyl. Some even are into cassetre tapes.

Thats the thing that suprises the yunger generation about streaming services. Every now an again if im at a store that sells physical media like DVDs an Blu-rays. I would pick up a TV show the younger person working there would go why don't you just stream it. Then I tell them too look up how many episodes of a show they like on that streaming service. To see how many episodes there really is you may be surprised that it may. Have for example say 60 episodes then see how many episodes that streaming service has. It may only have 40 episodes of it that means that the others 20 episodes were deemed problematic and so they whore not put on that streaming service. Every time I say this to a younger person it completely blows their minds. They literally an figuratively say are you serious I did not know that happened. Then I say thats why I get the complete series on DVD that way I know. Im getting all 60 episodes of it. I mean expressly some of the older shows they would definitely be seen as problematic. I for example have seen and am getting some Mystery Science Theater 3000. DVDs an I just got the Mystery Science Theater 3000 the movie. But some of the jokes an comments they made in the earlier sessions of that. So would not be allowed today because people are to sensitive and don't understand a joke is a joke. I mean for example in one episode during the movie they are watching. They keep calling the wemon in it men because they need something to joke about. Because the movie was giving them literally and figuratively nothing happening on screen. Except for women dancing so they started to call the wemon men to have something to talk about. That would not be allowed on air today just for one example. Then when it comes to the rights to IPS here is a good example an explanation. When Clive Barker was alive he sued an got the rights back to the original screenplay an the Hellraiser movie franchise. But he only got the rights to use it in Britain only. Because of the back story the suprer short version it was originally going to be made in Britain or UK. Then the movie studio backed out then a American movie studio stepped in. So the original Hellraiser movie was a how to put it a UK an American partnership agreement when it came to releasing it. Its more complicated but thats the basic idea. But since it was also a part American movie that movie studio got to keep the rights to do things an release it in the United States. So you end up with Clive Barker with the UK rights to it an a American movie studio with the rights to it. So that leads to some tricky things when it comes to the Hellraiser movie franchise. When it comes to any thing around it.

HI Greg i am have been currently seeking out used 3D Blu rays mainly on EBAY on titles that are of Interest to me. I have a projector capable of 3D and 2 3D Blu ray Players . While New 3D titles are becoming very rare on Physical Media there is no hope of Streaming services would be bothering to cater to us who have Niche Tastes.
