A deleted (or "extended"/ "alternate") scene from the 1989 film, "Batman". This edit utilises more of Prince's musical contributions, in this case, his song, "Scandalous".

The music adds so much more depth to the scene.

Eh... I thought it was fine without the music. Don't get me wrong, I love Prince, but the music is a bit distracting here. Maybe it's just me though.

Not at all. This song would only fit a love scene which is why it's in the credits

Hey, I like it. Wasn't exactly the best scene in the movie to begin with.

Nah. I prefer the actual movie having a nice quiet scene before Joker's chaos begins.

The only reason I now believe this is real is the drums don't drop out in the song and most of it is instrumental. I see why this was saved for the credits

Can you share more details on this workprint?

This is awesome, but would be even more if the music ends when Joker appears. I always tought this song didn' matcht with Joker, but now I understand that this a song about Bruce and his fellings... It's beautiful.

Amazing. How did you get this, please? 😍

This comes from the private collection of a Prince collector

Can you please share how were you able to get this? Is it the whole workprint version?

The doorbell at the beginning of the song makes sense in this context, but together with this scene, it’s distracting. There’s a much better imaginative interpretation in the extended version of the song (Scandalous Sex Suite)

The best Prince remix - with Kim Basinger slathered all over it...

I'd honestly love to know more on how you required this scene

Alot of old obscure IRC rooms in the 1990's & 2000's used to share movie workprints around privately The video quality makes me think it could be one of those. Likely shared on many sites before this guy got it

Is this real? You probably can’t answer this next question, but how did you acquire this?

There's extra dialogue, so it must be real.

This song is too baby-making to be in a Batman movie.

Bruce: "Nice apartment. Lots of space". Joker: "Nice place you got. Lots of space". Good thing they deleted this scene.
@Meeejaboy3 ай бұрын
Uh - they didn't? - they used a different edit and soundtrack, but the scene is still there I believe...

No shit?? This song was supposed to be played during this scene?

I'd rather see deleted scenes from Purple Rain, UTCM and Graffiti Bridge.

Jon Peters was trying to make Batman like Top Gun, with music montages and stuff like this and I’m glad this was removed in the Final Cut. It’s too distracting.
@brandonspain123452 ай бұрын
Something Burton was also right about was that it would've dated the movie. This scene with the Prince song is so 80s, it hurts. Of course, when Burton had the reign to have full control of the sequel, he didn't have to listen to whatever Jon Peters told him or use any pop songs unless it's something he personally wants. This might explain why he and Michael Keaton prefer Batman Returns more because it was less of a studio interfered movie.

@@brandonspain12345 ¿"Es tan ochentera que duele"? Te recuerdo que Batman (1989) es un producto y referente cultural de los 80s. Es contradictorio lo que dices.
