​@@محمدالزيري-س8ف I don't mean to sound rude, but you do realise that there are tons of callbacks to Origins in Knight, right? There are thugs that mention Blackgates riots from Origins and they also mention that's the same night that Joker first appeared. There's a blood sample from Copperhead in Ace Chemicals. Thugs also mention Anarky and how he would've loved this Halloween night. There are shock gloves from Electrocutioner in evidence locker and Cash's recording on that mentions, he was an assassin hired by Joker and how Batman took these gloves for himself for a while. there's also Anarky stuff in evidence locker too, Cash mentions that Anarky tried to bomb Gotham. Gorden and Barbara also look alot like their Origins counterparts. If that's not enough, both Firefly and Deathstroke mentions that their defeat from Origins in Knight, Firefly mentions his defeat at the bridge and Deathstroke mentions his at the ship. Even that's not enough, both Deathstroke and Black Mask (he's in Red Hood DLC) uses their exact same models from Origins. Origins is already proven to be canon.

It amazes me how to scale everything thing is outside the map. Especially Arkham City and The Asylum. The layout is identical and the scale of the buildings compared to Batman are 1:1. I’m only today yrs old (2:02 am 26th Feb 2024) finding out more about the dedication, effort, love and respect, Rocksteady put into these games. ❤

The Entire Map in general of every place you explored is definitely a place where batman would need all kinds of great equipment to get around the Huge City. South, West, North, East, and every other Gotham in Existence.

I love looking at arkham city when I glide by it. Just thinking about the stuff that went down there. And the locations. Wonder city, wonder tower, the steel mill. All of those cool places. Makes me want to glide over there. It's pointless because it's all low res textures and I'm on xbox one anyways. But I can see why people want this mod. It'd still be cool to see it. And also, I think it's kinda funny how in arkham city, we wanted to get outside of arkham city and into gotham city (the background of the game). And in arkham knight, we want to get back into arkham city, lol.

You know, I used to think the three islands in AK were just a completely reworked version of South Gotham from Arkham Origins. But this shows that map was cannon, and so in total, Gotham is made up of FIVE islands. Also, Gotham has 2 police departments, but only ONE hospital? I would think Batman would bring in plenty of business for at least a second hospital.

Arkham Knight is only central Gotham. The city is much bigger than that.

I'm speculating but I might understand the adamancy to stick with UE3. ALL THE ASSETS from Asylum, City and Origins could be reused in Knight. They could port over 3 games in another because of compatibility, and almost as if to see the game areas remastered essentially. The potential was huge from the sheer flexibility of it all. The fact that they managed to produce a next gen worthy game from UE3 is testament that this potential was considered. I will re-iterate that this is speculation and that in my mind the dots connect as to why there's a huge amount of detail present for intended unexplored areas. Initially they were to be explored but something happened along the pipeline where further development ceased and the residual effect was an extremely detailed far away LOD

it just really bugs me that in almost every single free rome game, the map is surrounded by infinite water. scarecrows bomb couldve effected the entire eat cost? sure if you can get that gas across the ocean that is in between each city. i know they do this because it would be too crazy to try to make an actual geographical location, but they are SO creative with the story and everything about the game, but they couldnt figure uot a way to have Gotham be mainland?? at least this game isnt as bad, since gotham sorta does have a reputation in the comics and media for being completely based on a giant bay. but this is a bit of a stretch of that.

SephirothgeneX7 Well, I'm pretty sure Rocksteady's done with Batman: Arkham. However, they might pass the next one to, I dunno, maybe DC Montreal, who made Batman Arkham Origins? Or someone else? And if the make more consoles (I would call them Ultimate Generation) they'd probably get a Batman Arkham game where you could explore. Plus, all the areas would be active considering the fact that Arkham City would be open again, funded by Bruce Wayne, Arkham Asylum the only prison in Gotham to keep putting criminals in, so thats a must. And then it's just South Gotham. Wouldn't seem bad.

When you do the same glitch in Arkham City, buildings seem to be so much taller in the region where the Arkham Origins map is. Also, Wayne tower and South Gotham doesn't seem to be that far apart in AC. Please tell me I'm not the only one that gets bothered by these.

From watching the update videos on this channel, it sounded like Rocksteady planned on making a bigger map that would include Northern, Southern Gotham, and Wayne manor, how awesome that would be. But I wonder if they were given a bigger budget and more times I wonder if they would include more area to go to such as the lands I listed. I wonder what Rocksteady could do next in the superhero franchise. Hopefully they can do superman or green arrow, that would be interesting.

Replace gadgets with superpowers, Detective Mode with X-ray vision, and gliding with flying (except you don't get closer to the ground), add limited bulletproof skin as an upgrade, a realistic sun that either strengthened or weakened Superman, and Game Over Screens from Superman villains, and you've got a game.

It's interesting that Pioneers' Bridge shows signs of damage from Firefly's attack. I guess Rocksteady just copy-pasted the entire area and hoped we'd never notice.

The reason the Pioneers' bridge isn't visible in Arkham City was because the freeway that was in the Industrial District and part of the bridge and Sheldon Park were bulldozed to make room for the restricted area.

I absolutely love how both City and Origins locations are rendered in the skybox. In a strange way you can even make out the difference in style of each game, Origins had a lot cleaner, less grainy textures compared to City. Would have been nice to have a game with all 3 locations accessible but I don't think that's happening now :(

The team was able to put all these low-resolution buildings and stuff in the distance, especially the football field that you can't see from the actual map. They put all the work in that fucking car that just turns into a tank. You had 4 years! Yet all we get is an overpowered hunk of metal on wheels that takes up most of the memory.

i really don't see where all that detail went. its flat black even with close up shots theres nothing that sticks out. the fire coming out of the back is nice but i don't see needing that much memory for the batmobile. wounding if they lied about some things to cover the lack of whats in this game. i like how people are like south arkham was big they couldn't fit more in if they tried. clearly these people haven't played gta5. and wait until mgs5 comes out and puts gta5 and ak to shame in map size

To be honest you are all ungrateful! This was an exceptionally made Gotham! Its going to have neon lights because it is a big commercial city, that has tonnes of underground gangs & petty thugs, and it felt that. It was a joy to explore Gotham Downtown, I say it was just big enough to not get too big. Excellent work Rocksteady for crafting this astonishing open world. A joy to explore.

Wouldn't it be cool if we got a game with the entire City and a segment off Gotham County? I want straight up batman shit, day and night cycle so you play as Bruce Wayne during the day, Batman by night, fly off roof tops, stop crime, aid the GCPD, have larger fights with crime bosses. I want Batman to be Batman, an endless fight against the corrupt and the criminals, not CoD with a batman skin. Maybe have a switch character feature, wouldn't it be cool if you could play as a villian and cause havoc? Maybe as a cop, Jim Gordon per say. Do that during the day, mess about as Batman during the night.

Fun Fact: There is kind of still a way to explore Ace Chemicals after the explosion without mods, to do this just go to the bridge entrance of Ace Chemicals and throw a remote batarang through the entrance opening and feel free to look around, everything is still solid though so try not to hit a surface with the batarang.
