I don't think what Joker cared about was that the world forgot him, as everyone completely forgetting about him isn't possible. I think what he couldn't stand was if BATMAN forgot him.
@John-Stark8 жыл бұрын
now THAT makes sense
@squashmallow20068 жыл бұрын
Well, put it this way. The world forgetting him would definitely be a significant blow since he's all about making a good show. But Bats himself forgetting him would be the final nail to the coffin. (Ironic that I mention coffin since his body was actually burned.)
@markcobuzzi8268 жыл бұрын
I think they were both equally important in finally breaking the Joker's spirit. Whatever life the Joker exactly had, before he got bleached by acid as the Red Hood, we know he was a normal guy who had hopes, dreams, and maybe some family he loved, before losing it all in one bad day, like Bruce Wayne did. Unlike Batman, he gave up all hope that the world could ever be good and just, so he took on a nihilistic worldview. The fact that the Joker also had this God-complex motivated him to become that agent of chaos, to prove his philosophy to the rest of humanity. Because Batman shared so much in common with the Joker, but could directly oppose his ideals, the Joker developed a kind of twisted friendship with him. Joker had some admiration for Batman on one hand, since he sees a little of himself in the Bat and knows they can both understand each other in an intimate personal way. On the other hand, Batman also gave Joker someone to pit himself against and see if he could win, while Gotham watches them fight. He wants to break the spirit of Gotham and thinks Batman could help him accomplish that, by giving everyone a chance to see their cherished hero(es) being destroyed/corrupted by the anarchy he spreads. So when both the Gothamites and Batman forget about him, the Joker is terrified and broken, because it means that he was wrong his entire life. With Batman forgetting him, it is like he ideals are defeated in an abstract philosophical sense, and when the public forgets about him, his ideals are shown to be defeated, even when put into practice. People do have the ability to rise of overcome the greatest hell on Earth and chaos is not the ultimate fate of humanity, that he thought it was.

Being forgotten by the people of Gotham is more symbolic than physical, as you said it yourself, it is just impossible for the world to forget him. symbolically however, if Batman, & in extension, the ENTIRE Gotham would eventually forget him, that meant that they are actually capable of rising above what he symbolized-despair, chaos, cruelty, & that life was nothing but a brutal joke-& making what Batman is fighting for so relentlessly, a reality. his ideals, his way of life, his very existence, completely denied by all around him, & reality actually manages to stick a solid middle finger in his face, & he suffers his ultimate defeat.

Well of course he’s never gonna forget him. He killed the only person he’s ever loved(his baby mama too), who he thought of essentially as a second son, and God knows how many people. Joker was definitely way more scared of the world forgetting him, that was kind of the point of the whole mission. Like one of the things he was scared of was a paper saying “Harley Quinn and Riddler expecting first baby.” He’s scared of Batman locking them away, so to say because without Batman he is literally nothing.

Like how even when joker is actually crying and depressed he still manages to do that iconic laugh simply because he can not help it he wished he could cry but he can not

Mark Hamill was in one of the Flash episodes number 14 I think and he plays a character called The Trickster. He started laughing and you could hear the Joker laugh under it. Mark Hamill is amazing
@ObligedUniform9 жыл бұрын
Lucy Taylor Funny story is that he actually used his mannerisms from the trickster (whom he played in the 90's flash series too) to influence the development of his Joker voice when he started to voice him a couple years later :D. But you can definitely hear the similarities between the two, but they are different in subtle ways.

I mean it's really hard for a writer to make people feel bad for joker, but this game did it, I mean knowing all that joker went through it's hard not to feel sad for him in this song because it's obvious that joker is still awake and conscious.

When I played Arkham Knight I was really surprised on how much they improved the formula since Asylum and perfection in City. Only issues I had was some predictability of the plot and who the Knight was, and glitches on I had playing on the Xbox one but after 100% this game and hearing Joker sing with sorrow and bravado If thats a good word for it, made me feel grand content. Mark Hamill is the Joker for us, yeah there's others like Ledger, Nicholson, even Romero or Leto in the future. But I can say that to most Hamill is and was the Joker since we saw the Animated Series

I love this blues version of what was an already amazing part of the game. The slow and quiet and gentle melody that plays as Joker breaks down is beautifully harrowing. I especially love it when that guitar sneaks it's way into the song at the end.

The day the clown cried. And he cries not for the passing of one man, but for the death of the dream.

Wow... I never thought I would feel sad about the most psychotic murderous clown prince of crime, but dang, think about it. He started as a sad middle-age man who was horrible at stand up comedy and was shunned for it, so he took a mysterious job that ended up being robbing ave chemicals, a little scuffle with the bat turned him insane clown, then his wife died, so he murdered lots of people... joker stuff, and ended up stuck inside the mind of Bruce Wayne. You could make the argument the end scene was a metaphor, but he totally made up that song in the end. Damn, joker had a solid motivation!

Thank you for not talking in any of your videos. Some ppl just love to hear themselves talk when all we wanna do is watch the game play without them talking. So I applaud you for doing what most ppl seem to find a hard time doing sir.
@latinalover269 жыл бұрын
skrewheadsailor well it is all depends on what you want. if you want to hear comedy while they are playing then some of then is a good choice but if you just want to see a walkthrough then him and some other people are good choice
@DracoHandsome9 жыл бұрын
skrewheadsailor They don't "have a hard time" doing it: they realize that it ISN'T ENTERTAINING. There's a reason Pewdiepie and Markiplier et al are popular - because we don't want to WATCH THE GAME, we want to WATCH THEM PLAY THE GAME, a very different concept. So speak for your fucking self. "We" don't one and all want to just sit and watch a game with no commentary.
@tazzerdevil989 жыл бұрын
skrewheadsailor its all preference i used to watch media cows because i like their commentary on top of the game but i realized when it came to me playing the game it didnt have the same feeling as to when i was watching them because of the commentary so i deiced to stop watching them as it was swaying my opinion of the game
@bruhwhydoesyoutubehavehandles9 жыл бұрын
DracoHandsome uh...there's just as much commentary as there is not. So, "speak for your fucking self."
@TheMornal9 жыл бұрын
+skrewheadsailor The reason there aren't a lot of people that do just gameplay with no commentary is because you really only need 1 person to do that. If there's no commentary, watching 1 person's gameplay would be exactly the same as watching another.

I never thought I’d feel bad for the Joker, but somehow I do now. He doesn’t know what happened to him or what happened to his family. But he definitely deserves whatever for all the people he’s killed. In this game he is now locked away in a cage in Batman’s deep subconscious for all of eternity. Rip Mr. J

A fate worse than hell possibly. At least in hell sure you're suffering forever but at least you have company. But here, Joker is just stuck in a mental personification of the Asylum in Arkham's 1st game. With no one in there. No staff, no patients. Just Joker stuck in a cell that cannot be opened. And even if he did get out of that cell where would he go? I doubt there's even an outside to that Asylum he's stuck in.
