@@TheYodelingViking no he didn't only say that. He also said all Arkham games are cannon, so Bane in Origins is the same character in the other games. So it is strange that he totally ignored how good Bane was in that game. Ignoring the game where Bane has the spot light is disingenuous, it's like saying Scarecrow is only an okay villain just based off his appearance in Arkham Asylum, ignoring his starring role in Knight. They're equivalent situations.

Issue would be that the mystery if the Arkham Knight would have been too obvious. Maybe a dlc having you play as him to see the dynamic between him and Bats couldve worked. Maybe we see a slightly lighter side to Bruce after years working with Dick.

19:40 I think Clayface was actually a great villain. Even though we encountered him in his true form at the end of the game, he was still acting as the Joker the entire game and guess what, he played his role perfectly. Basil Karlo was an actor before turning into that monster, so him acting as the joker and playing with Batman was just simply genius. Think about it, many of the great and memorable Batman and Joker encounters and dialogues in Arkham City was actually Batman and Clayface. He is truly underrated in my opinion.

How about avaluating riddler's character development in his ranking? Through out the games he's beaten over and over again and by knight he's already full of it and that affects the way he acts; creating robots and growing angrier by the minute and i feel like that anger bursts out when batman captures him at the end and he says "i don't need help with anything!!" Or something. This is one of the reasons why i love the riddler in the arkham games.

i came here to see scarecrow be put in the top tier and i was not disappointed at all. such an underrated villain and character in general that i'll never get enough of lol. cillian murphy's portrayal of scarecrow was good but after arkham knight's scarecrow i don't think you can really get any better (in my opinion anyway).

Bane as a character overall (not just in the Arkham games) is awesome! Bane is one of my favorite Batman characters in general. And Arkham City showed that he couldn’t stop himself from using the venom stuff, but he wanted to stop others from going down the path he went. He even went as far as to not attack Batman but instead ask for his help. Not to mention, he is very smart when not on venom. And to me, he’s a more dormant villain. Even when on venom he still can partially think about his actions. And despite being a big brute without Venom,(and an even bigger brute with Venom) him and his large muscles don’t seem like much of a villain to me. I’d describe Bane as more of an Anti-Hero who is almost on the verge of being neutral but will never do so due to his violent tendencies and use of venom. And I think he makes a great villain and an awesome character! It’s the same kinda thing with Mr. Freeze (except Viktor Isn’t a giant brute). He’s a good person, but his deeds paint him in a bad light.

Really like the idea of making Arkham Origins about Jason. It makes so much sense why he would not have robin in asylum, cuz of his now strained and villainous relationship with Jason. It would have been really emotional and a new take on a Batman story or at least the video game stories.

Don’t forget we got to see Freeze’s origin pretty thoroughly explored in Arkham Origins. Edit: so I didn’t agree with a lot of this, but you nailed it with Jason. Your idea for Origins setting Jason up is brilliant. Also, just a reminder, while Joker tortured Jason in Knight, he didn’t actually kill him (the game makes it look like he did tho, so I guess that would still effect the rating). 2nd edit: I think the Talia one is Lady Shiva from Origins.

I think vital information is missing here. Bane was overdosed with his venom in arkham origins. It nearly killed him, his brain is probably half gone by time arkham asylum even happens. Although I do feel like they should have done more with his character and I think it would be awesome to have another prequel where bane is the main villain with his cartel hunting the batman down.

I think Mr Freeze was the most tragic of them all. Really felt for him in the Arkham Knight dlc. Just a brilliant man using his brilliance albeit in a criminal way to save his wife

As the biggest Deathstroke fan in the world. His fight in Origins was garbage, I was so excited to see him in the game and in the trailer. He was also very underused/unintimidating in Knight. A major let down for a great assassin. It was cool playing as him in Origins at least.

Getting Hugo to blackmail Wayne, take over his identify to ruin Batman’s reputation, take his Mansion, use science to beat Batman lots of these things would be amazing to get him to a top tier status. Actually Arkham Knight told us what happened to Bane. He got off his titan addiction, returned to his home country only to realize it’s been overrun by these drug lords, and he kills and decapitates them all finally liberating his country.

I’m not a gamer so I much preferred the Deathstroke boss fight over the Mr. Freeze one. It was easy, so it only took 2 attempts. The Freeze fight took me days to beat. It was just more fun to win easier. I didn’t like the challenge

The deathstroke fight was torture for me. For some reason I couldn't time my counters properly (not that I ever NEEDED to time my counters in the first place) and in the Freeze fight I was already accustomed to many different ways to take out enemies. So it was easy for me, but definitely very fun.

Personally I love origins take on bane more then rocksteadys take. Bane is not just a dumb brute that Batman can simply take down by just dodging and punching. But Bane is a genius with a tactical mind. He is hard to be outsmarted. The reason Batman ended up defeating bane In origins is because bane got hooked on the venom which corrupted his mind and made him dumb. Bane again is not just any brute He outsmarted The world’s greatest detective many times. And that’s why he holds the title as “the one who broke the bat”. Sorry I know this is common knowledge for any dc fan. But I just wanted to write this. Thank you for reading otherwise!😁 Ps. ( I know banes tactical mind dimmed during the main Arkham series. Because of the Titan/venom. But rocksteady is amazing and I understand why bane was like this but I personally prefer origins take as it was closer to the comics.
