Well this isn't a "What If", but is from the Dark Multiverse alongside the Batman Who Laughs. They invade the mainline universe during this run. Epic series of comics. Saint Batman, look him up

I do think it's really cool, some statues you don't even have to know where they're from to appreciate it just as art. Thanks for giving the backstory though it helps paint the picture of angry bat lady who hates fish people.

You nailed her... aahhhh I meant you got it right on the rating... I wish she was standing on the octopuses not a random floating lak-luster box. Batman Who Laughs is still the best concept and art work followed by Joker Dragon, Grim Night and Dawn Bringer. I'd put her or this statue next in the line.... great review..

I love your critiques, Mr. X... and glad you bring us different things to consider. That said, I did not even know this storyline existed. With my open, mutiverse mind, I could see the story and this piece as imaginative; but honestly, a part of me raises the question that "comic writing has actually come to this(?)", and that part of me is disappointed. Your reviews are always excellent! Although your reviews are thoughtful, this piece would be an ill-fit for my own collection. But as I said, thank you for the variety you present to us. I love all these Metal & Death Metal statues, they’re Prime1 best DC lines, they all look amazing. Cool looking characters, great bases, paint & sculpt, really cool line.

With modern comics I *hate* how they've made stuff woke; it's systematic replacement as some fail edutainment. And it's only really modern stuff as I was very much down with Storm or Jane Foster having the power of Thor. For the Drowned... it's not so bad. It's a flip but a natural part of the story and she looks like a woman and there's originality with it. Basically a bit Pirates of the Caribbean. I think I'd actually rank her second in the line, behind Batman Who Laughs. I like the tentacles... bit of a Mysterio vibe and probably would look cool with an ocean setup.

I'm with you 100% and I despise the woke shit, but this whole run of comics had no wokeness. Out of 20+ alternate Batmen, there was only a single gender swap and it was the entire universe and not just Batman that swapped. It's a really cool design and the Dark Nights Metal run is worth the read. I recommend everyone check out Saint Batman because I'm biased lol

Personally I'm not a fan of doing gender and race swaps for long established characters, but it honestly didn't bother me that out of all the Dark Multiverse versions we got of Batman, just one was swapped and it was the Aquaman version. I think the design is really cool (not above characters like Red Death, Grim Knight, Batman Who Laughs or Dawnbreaker) and I'd say probably the most creative license went into the design. It's a pretty cool Steampunk-esque style which I always appreciate. If I had the money, this is one I'd get for sure. Also, I noticed there are no Saint Batman statues and that sucks lol. That's my favorite redesign from the Dark Multiverse (Knightfall is still my favorite comic run and I love Jean Paul Valley's Bat Armor). It would be epic to see a set piece of Saint Batman and it have the watchtower with Bruce's torso and head with it
