So far, I prefer the retelling of this story in Justice League Doom. The stakes there were much higher and less... goofy. It's not "Green Lantern is blind," but "Green Lantern has his willpower, the source of his power as a Green lantern, broken and robbed from him." The whole setup is just far more dangerous and interesting there than it is here.
@chiefbologna57192 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if you care anymore, since it’s been 4 years, but the blindness is exactly from Batman’s plan to take down any justice league member and tbh it’s a pretty good option when fighting a green lantern user. A lot harder to break the will of someone than it is to convince them they’re blind

Lazarus pits can't bring back the dead. They will be "zombified". When I first read the story I thought the same thing though bro!
So the DC animated movie, "Justice League Doom" was based after this story line. This would have been a much better movie than the one the released.
@ethanstarbuck31243 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I disagree. The plans by which Batman has the different members of the league being neutralized are much more interesting in the movie than they are here. The most egregious of this is Green Lantern, since in the movie he has his will and spirit broken and isn’t just “blind”. Also the stakes feel much higher in the movie version overall. I’d say it’s like Under the Red Hood in that it’s a fantastic graphic novel, but the movie is even better

Plastic Man, I believe was created in the 40s of 50s, was a small time criminal who accidentally got doused in chemicals that completely changed his body chemistry. He is in a sense a living plastic polymer. He has no organs and when he gets an arm cut off, the inside is the same color as his skin. He has no bones or blood. During The Obsidian Age story, Plas was turned to stone 3,000 years in the past and shattered into little more than grains of sand. The JLA found as many pieces of him as they could, I believe it was 85%, and he reformed in the modern day. He is with all intents and purposes, virtually immortal. He is more powerful than Reed Richards by a long shot. Reed has a limit to how far he can stretch. Plas can become any shape he wants, even a car. He has complete control over his entire body.

The Martian race was extremely powerful and the Guardians of the Galaxy had concerns that they could wreak havoc across the universe. So the Guardians separated the Martians into White and Green Martians and added the fear of fire into their being. J'onn learned to curtail his weakness, later on, so only Fire of a psychological kind, i.e. love would harm him. As for J'onn's heat vision, it's actually Martian Vision and more closely resembles Cyclop's Optic Beams whereas it doesn't produce heat.
