I appreciate the time they took to answer these questions. My personal beef is that Terry always seemed to lose his first battle with a new opponent (opponents inferior to Spiderman 2099) and the fact that he was actually killed by two clown dominatrices with electric whips. They didn't even mention that. Good show all the same. Also remember fanboys, the outcomes of death battle are not canon.

Just some resource information, having worked with several types of body armor and been a canon fire direction specialist. I've noticed most writers (novel, movie, tv, and comic book) and media doesn't know most of this info despite it not being classified. Kevlar weave can be cut, with difficulty, fine points can also puncture the weave with little resistance. However military and law enforcement body armor can also have additional hard plates inserted. These plates are very hard to cut or puncture and the protection they provide depends greatly on material they are made of and thickness, such as; steel, ceramic, resin bonded Kevlar, or a layered mix of these materials. I worked with 155mm howitzers, the standard high explosive shell weighs about 95 pounds before you screw on the fuse, the casing varies in thickness based on what part of the shell you look at but is about an inch or two thick, the rest is a high explosive compound, we can throw these more than 20km away and over any mountain on Earth with a good crew, FDC, forward observer accurate within 10m. When shooting at troops in the open a timed fuse is used so the shell detonates about 10 to 20 meters above ground level. With in 50m (or was it 500m, it's been awhile) of the shell at detonation humans will be killed by the explosive force and overpressure destroying internal organs if not just ripping people apart, current body armor does not protect against this. Beyond 50m this effect diminishes and a kill is not guaranteed, but you also have 1 inch thick and several inch long white hot pieces of steel flying through the air at mach 1 plus. Now against a tank we usually use the same shell with an impact fuse, when the shell hits the target or ground a fraction of a second later the shell detonates, so you have the force of the impact followed by everything I described above for the explosion, a near miss will sometimes flip armored fighting vehicles. Against a bunker or other structure a time delay fuse is used so the shell has time to hit the target punch through part of it and then detonates inside it, so kinetic impact again followed by the explosion and shrapnel. And all this is using the standard HE shell, none of the other fancy stuff that could also be used.

My main problem with the Death Battle is that I doubt the Bat Computer, as awesome as it is, would be able to fend off the hack from 2099. Yes, it has fended off Braniac's hacking attempt but not on the first attempt. I just find it hard to believe that it would be able to effectively fend off a hack from technology 50 years in the future that it has no basis for.

That doesn't remove the inherent technological difference between where the two characters are in time. Spider-man 2099 is obviously from the year 2099 but Batman Beyond takes place in the 2040s. That is an inherent technological difference of between 50-60 years. There is little chance of the Bat-Computer being able to fend off a hack using technology from so far in the future on its first encounter with said technology.

But his Accelerated Decoy isn't just a feat of technology, and it's not meant to conceal him in some invisibility shroud or whatever. Spider-Man 2099's ability literally says: "He can move so fast that he can leave another copy of himself to confuse his enemies." It's also apparent to be a physical feat.

I think Vergil vs Sesshomaru is not as close as Vergil vs sephi. Keep in mind that as awesome as Sesshomaru is, he's still just a demon going up against someone who regularly hunted demons. Vergil is way faster than Sessho. Faster speed plus a katana that cuts through dimensions, makes for a very one sided fight. Vergil and Dante are pretty close to even, so a lot of Dante feats, such as the raindrops, also apply to Vergil, who actually defeated Dante at Least once.

spider sense is complete spatial awarenes of peter's sorroundings. its technically impossible to sneak on peter parker unless you have something to contrarrest directly his spider sense, he even uses it to find secret passageways. having enhanced senses can be considered some kind of spatial awareness like daredevil. but it is still possible to sneak on you if the people sneaking stay below your range of hearing, like batman did with super man. and enhanced senses does have the added disanvantage of hyper sensitivity. something that spider sense doesn't have

Regarding the comment on Kevlar, and how it works, bulletproof vests work via dilatency. It works fairly well against bullets due to what happens to bullets on impact, as well as the fact that a bullet doesn't actually pierce things well so much as it just barrels right through them. Bulletproof vests also don't work well at close range. a vest can't stop the full velocity of higher caliber rounds, but they can (somewhat reliably) stop smaller caliber rounds at close range. They don't work with knives because of the way dilatency works. A good example of dilatency would be hitting water. While you can stick your hand straight through water, if you hit it, there's suddenly resistance. This is because the molecules essentially get pushed into a stronger structure. A knife wouldn't really cause this for two reasons, one, the edge is sharp enough that it's not really encountering enough of the vest for any dilatent effect to matter, and two, it doesn't actually have enough impact force to cause the same resistance that a bullet would, as it's not traveling anywhere near as fast.

It all depends on Cole. if it's the canon Good Cole then he has Cryokinesis and blue electricity whereas Infamous Cole has Napalm and red electricity. If we went by canon then you're left with a Cole Macgrath that doesn't kill then if we went by the most deadly Cole Macgrath then you're left with the non-canon version.

You guys are the animated version of Deadliest Warrior. All you need to do is provide the information to people that character A wins at least 51% more than character B out of like 100 fights. Generally, I think outside help should be allowed so long as the opponent has an equivalent support character/team on their side. The reason it was disallowed in, say, Link vs Cloud, was because Link has nothing really comparable to Cloud's summons. It's basically about what makes for a more interesting, balanced battle.

40:42 You're talking about the Slingshot channel. The guy stabbed through a low-quality stab-vest. It's a vest that's supposed to stopped knives. It's something prison guards and police officers wear. Kevlar on it's own won't stop a knife, but Kevlar vests come with plates that inserted inside them. Kevlar slows down a bullet because of how it's weaved. The plates stop the bullet. Only high quality kevlar vests stop rifle rounds.
