Ra's al ghules fate is worse then death every time he goes into the Lazarus pit he gets crazier with each dip. So eventually he'd go crazy enough to start terroristic attacks more so then orchestrating them from the shadows. So batman would eventually either A have to kill him, or B he falls in a volcano or some shit. There are many good stories but the animated series has a good amount of stories. I'd honestly recommend watching them along sode naruto as a pallet cleanser. I promise you it may hit even harder then naruto.
