I can never make it past stage 6 Circus Run on Mania difficulty even with 7 lives (I beat the game on Special, but that's still a challenge)). What I like about the game (the replay value) is when you win the game at a harder difficulty, you get a better ending.

I love the music on this game, especially on the circus train! Danny Elfman definitely shows his Oingo Boingo roots on that level!

Well done. This was one of my favorite games in the SNES's library :) I wish there were more beat 'em up games themed with Batman, with more characters, combos and upgrades etc. There's Street of Rage 4 and similar ones, but no Batman themed...

I remember back in 95, I was at baseball practice and the other day, we went to Toys R Us. I wanted Batman Returns SNES, she wanted me to purchase something else because I had too many Batman action figures. She purchases Virtual Bart. Since I opened the game, you can't get a refund after that.We purchase Batman Returns days later. It was one of my favorite SNES games. Sure it's a plan beat em up, but I have to put it up there of my 100 top games I played
