For the people wondering if the game’s servers are up, they’re kinda of up. There’s a mod called “Self-Hosted” which allows you and others to play the game on pc. I don’t know if it does work on consoles because I don’t have a ps3 or Xbox to try it out, but if it does work, let me know in the comments. Was it really such a difficult thing for Rocksteady to work out this is what Arkham fans wanted from an online experience? Imagine this, but in first person for the thugs and an evolving narrative to follow. See, Arkham fans aren't totally against an online experience. Just look at Origins Online 🤦🏻‍♂️

I mean what are the poll numbers of how popular this multiplayer was? If they didn’t do again it probably has to do with poor sale numbers. The game itself is also considered the black sheep because it didn’t really stand higher than Arkham city did. I think the multiplayer was kind a unique thing most fans would probably have dabbled in, but it would ultimately fail for how repetitive it was, and how obnoxious the nerfing would be so batman and Robin weren’t constantly mowing down grunts.

It's based on a particular Batman licence Rocksteady created, Rocksteady started the preproduction on Origins and Rocksteady and WB Montreal belong to the same publisher. Rocksteady was even informed by some of some the decisions made in Origins for Knight. Rocksteady was well aware of the love within the community for Origins multiplayer. Tried to get me on a gotcha that Origins was developed by WB Montreal rather than Rocksteady, but your oversimplification is just incorrect 😝

If you take a bit longer, and not use the instant takedown you get a lot more fear factor due to diversity in takedowns

This gameplay shows how Batman and Robin would actually operate. Unlike most of the time in the story you take your time and swing from vantage point to vantage point. They would use speed and aggression but also just slip away, then be behind another thug in a instant. This game is amazing!

If you played this game, you had to watch out for batman and the enemy thugs. Batman would pick you off when you least expect it and does get scary when no ones around to help you

This mode was dope as hell. I remember playing on my xbox 360 and the servers sucked and took forever to get into a game but it was worth it. It also made single player way more fun because now you know how the thugs feel being hunted by batman.

A stand alone version of this could probably work well. Maybe with a smaller count "Thug vs Bat" gamemode where you play as a group of vary lightly armed thugs(Pistols and flashlights with the thugs able to find and equip weapons from the map) working to escape a building while being hunted by a member of the bat family. Alongside of course more options for bat family members, maps, thugs and supervillains.

you know how good it feels to see batman and robin kick ass in the city drip? for me that's a core memory. FYI if you use the smoke bombs first before you use the Batarang that drops them, the thugs aren't usually cant see it when you are using it making it much, MUCH easier the use.

Batman Arkham Origins has DLC, but you need to pay for it separately unfortunately. (Edit: You can buy the season pass, it has all the DLC's with it.)

No one really uses quickplay because the lobby drops after one round, so you'll need to find a steam/discord group to find games or you can invite your friends.

This is Batman Arkham Origins Online, this game mode wasn’t that popular, and this is only possible on PC (Edit: It used to work on ps3 and pc, but then they finally shut the servers down for good which only left PC as they have made a program to counter this server shutdown.)
