Looking back now, I think the production must've been a bit of a mess considering it was not well managed and Telltale being bankrupt now. I wouldnt be surprised if it was supposed to lead to something, but they couldn't follow with some of the ideas due to internal problems at Telltale

That Sarcastic Guy ever since they made that new engine you could tell the huge difference between the first batman and this one. The combat seems less stiff and you can see the motion blurs they put into the camera angles and I could barley tell when they cut dialogue between the ones you choose and what they say after

I dunno, there certainly are some cool things about it, like Batman's parents acquiring their wealth through crime and Joker actually not being as much of a murderous psychopath and being kinda helpful, but the game doesn't really focus on those things. For example, the parents thing was mostly there to give Vicky a motivation to be a bad guy in the first season. There were a couple of moments where we got to see Bruce and the public's reaction to that, but not nearly enough to be interesting. Everyone just kinda forgot about it by the end of Season 1 and now it doesn't even come up, aside from being mentioned offhandedly in dialogue or character bios. Instead, this game just opts to be a slightly interactive animated Batman movie with a bunch of the characters changed around and with a whole bunch of animation mistakes.

Got to say, it's good to be back. I like all the nods, and minimal prologue, covering the first game. Have to say, it's nice to see John Doe, i.e. nascent Joker, again, and for once, Riddler is the oldest Batman villain and not the Ace of Knaves who debuted alongside him in 1940. And for all you Kingdom Hearts fans out there, Riddler's actor is British (Hence why he's running from Interpol and not the USA police.) and he voiced Luxord in KH2 and other media. P.S. For those of you who don't know Latin, "mori/mort" is the word root meaning "death". Ironically fitting for Riddler to express his ire about a business deal gone south by opening with a riddle about Death (as a figure/person) when you think about it.
