When GA 10 comes out, we will have a complete run from 1939 -1958. Volume 2 is where a lot of the REAL weirdness sets in to the Batman stories.

Thanks for your review and sneak peek of the book. I wish I could have had this when I was a kid, but a lot of the original versions of the stories hadn't been published yet. I'm afraid silver age Batman is not something I'd want to invest my money or time on, as I already have the black-and-white reprints in the showcase series, which startup when Carmine infantino started on the book. The colors on this omnibus don't look as bad as they usually do on DC reprints. I think for me to really get a lot of enjoyment out of reading this era of stories, not only would I need this book but I would need to make myself go back to being a little kid 😊 It was fun to get a look at it.

I've watched a few different reviews when it comes to the same comic collection and you provide the best analysis and show more from the comics than others. I know some people like the Omnibus run now copying the Marvel style, but I preferred the older style. A compromise would be to reissue them using styles like the Wrath of the Spectre Omnibus because showing the issue covers on the back seems a bit redundant to me when they show within the book. Plus, some back covers like Wonder Woman Golden Age Omnibus vol. 4 don't show all issues, so picking and choosing a highlight doesn't appeal. I thought DC would spare the Silver age from this redesign, but I was wrong.

OMNIDOG!! Another great review of a Batman book. I'm glad DC is finally releasing the Golden Age Vol 10 omnibus later this year to end that era. You said hopefully (holding breath) in 5 years or less the Batman Silver Age will be done and finally we can get to the Bronze Era. How many Silver Age omnibus books will come out then? Cheers!

Good/bad! BAD:Stories tend to be juvenile, silly, close to unreadable at times. GOOD: None will make you so depressed like current Batman comics where you want to kill yourself after reading.
