There is an image of Batman posing with the grapple gun that was captured at this angle that has the likeness almost exact with this Batman 89 figure. The only thing this figure really needed was a thicker neck.

Great review. Got mine from Target. I put out a different Batman and his signal each week. You can carefully remove each figure and still display them without ruining the box.

At $120 for the set, it's effectively $20 per figure with the batsignal for free. They could have charged $150 for the set and use the extra budget to have the signal function properly (and maybe include batarangs). As a free throw in, I'm fine with the signal as is, but I may try to fix it.

Is sir Todd McFarlane the pioneer and father of detailed, more articulated action figures and more detailed statues still king of detailed and articulated action figures and statues or he's been surpassed by Sideshow, Hot Toys, Necca, Conrad (when it comes to vehicles), Figuarts, etc.? Always play with them but spray with ceramic coating if it's not matte-glossy (if it is, more finishing techniques after ceramic coating will be needed for sure) so it's not scratched when handled.
