Important NOTE guys. When you get to Justice League, know that there are two versions that came out that are in many ways different. The first version from 2017, this movie failed because Zack Snyder had to take some time out due to a family disaster, so they reshot it and messed up his vision completely. He then came back and released his intended vision, which came out in 2021 called 'Zack Snyder's Justice League'. Please watch this one. You can ignore the one from 2017.

It's amazing how much you guys understood every metaphor and theme in this movie. It goes over so many people's head. They see it as a popcorn movie that should he light and fun, but really it's sort of dreadful. But, like you said, you don't know what you have until you lose it. Your commentary is so spot on. It's nice to see people that get this movie, because it really is a comic masterpiece.

It was released in 2021, but its the movie that follows Wonder Woman and is before Aquaman. DO NOT WATCH THE FILM FROM 2017! Zack Snyder's Justice League is areal film, it is 4 hours long, and is the film alot of fans and supporters fought for. If you need more information, look up the Release the Snyder Cut movement. Other than that, you're good.

It’s a long story about why it doesn’t continue. This came out in March 2016. The studio cut it off at the knees cause they took out 30min for the theatrical cut so the critics bashed it. & also the so called influencers bashed it too cause it wasn’t like marvel & they couldn’t understand what was going on. This cause the studio to change gears & the over all story that Zack had already planned all out. So they changed the overall story but Zack was still directing justice league in 2016. They finished filing 95% of it in October 2016 With the studio mandating changes like a 2hr runtime they were always wanting to change it to be like marvel. Then in March of 2017 tragedy struck the directors daughter Autumn took her own life. So he and his wife left the production. And DC used this as an opportunity to change the film! They brought in Joss whedon to finish the film. Now remember Zack had filmed 95% of the film. But they decided to refilm 80% of the film. It was released in Nov 2017 & it sucked it was quite apparent it wasn’t Zack’s film. The #releasethesnydercut was born. We fought for 2.5 years and while doing so we raised 500,000 for suicide prevention. Then in May 2020 they announced it will be release.

5 minutes in and you guys are udnerstanding the movie better than most people. Good job! One thing I would say is that this version of Batman is old. He's been fighting crime for 20 years and has lost his son, Robin, to the Joker. He's angry and has lost this way and started killing criminals that's why he didn't trust Superman because he doesn't belive people are good anymore but when Superman sacrificed hismelf to save humanity, Bruce realized Superman symbolizes hope in the best possible way.

Really liked your reaction and how much you got of the whole movie. And the whole talk after the movie. Really good! And I agree. This movie made me remember being a kid and watching the cartoons and what I would want for a more adult version for the characters. And yes, Lex had "daddy issues" and a hate to the God figure. A big theme in the movie is about "power" and being powerful. Bruce got power from the bat figure, the power of fear. Lex has power with his brain. And both have money, of course. But when Superman arrives, that presents to them what true power is amd their power seems like just an illusion, "a beautiful lie" just like Bruce mentioned in the beginning. So for Batman, Superman presents the ultimate threat to the world. But for Lex is all his philosophy. His traumas from the hate to his father and a god that didn't save him. Also, a nice thing is when Lex says that no man came down from the sky to save him from his dad's fists and abominations. Later Superman proves him wrong when he does save Lex from Doomsday's fist, an abomination. This movie was phenomenal and they should have released this version in theaters (which was the intention). Can't wait to see your reaction to the next movies. I know you will enjoy Wonder Woman and specially, Zack Snyder's Justice League.

something that drives me a lil nuts, almost every superhero "doesn't" kill, and almost every superhero who doesn't kill has killed a good amount of people. heath ledger said "your one rule" in a movie we all are enamored with, so we're fixated on him in particular. but he's always been the "classic" altruist hero who most frequently does kill people. compared to Superman, Spider-Man, maybe even Iron Man, Batman is the least surprising to kill someone.

The context behind their battle is loosely based on the classic 1986 graphic novel, *“Batman: The Dark Knight Returns”* by Frank Miller. In that story, Bruce is 55 yrs. old, having retired as Batman for a decade after the tragic loss of the second Robin (Jason Todd). Gotham City’s crime wave hits its peak, which compels Bruce to don the mantle once again. Eventually, Batman’s brand of justice catches the eye of the President, who feels he’s a political liability. Therefore he sends Superman, now an agent of the gov’t, to reign him in. Although Clark tries to reason with him, Bruce refuses and calls him a sellout, leading to the big fight.

You need to watch Suicide Squad the Extended Version and not the theatrical one, which they add addtional scenes and footage not included in the original. Then follow up by Wonder Woman before you watch the big one. And right after, you only need to watch Zack Snyder's Justice League and ingore the 2017 messed up movie, as this was Snyder's original cut of the movie until WB studios reshoot it. Then follow up by Aquaman.

You're confused so much because you fell for people who told you to watch the long version of the movie (the Extended Edition, or EE for short). You should've watched the Theatrical Release (TR). I don't know why reactors always fall for this. They are ONLY good to watch IF and AFTER you've watched the TR, and NEED more. The EEs go off on tangents, showing you things that aren't relevant or necessary to the story. None of the confusing stuff is in the TRs, which FOCUSES on the actual story. BTW. Yes. Zack Snider directed this version, but he wigged out and went away from the studio's plans, so they gave the project to Joss Weadon. He finished the TR, which is WHY that's the one you should've watched. Joss' was more succinct, focused, easier to understand and all around, a much better story.

Superman is just too powerful a superhero to continue to figure in the DC or MCU (I realize he is not MCU) Universes. They had to kill him off (at least temporarily) in order to allow other superhero franchises to continue to thrive. I'm confident Superman will return but you just have to put him on a shelf to allow other DC superheroes to be meaningful in their stories.

Lex was abused by his father which damaged him psychologically because as much as he prayed to God that his father would punished for all abuses he suffered and when his prayers weren’t answered he turned against God that’s why Lex refers to Superman as God and hates everything he stands for because he feels he should have received those powers! While the Snyderverse is a good self-contained story, to me they failed these characters due to no fault of the actors. Lex was too unstable and irrational. Superman was too careless, joyless, and hopeless. Batman was too emotional and too easily manipulated. The World's Greatest Detective shouldn't get played like that. This story ( all three movies) could have been done better. IMO the best live-action Superman movie is still Superman II.
