The most ridiculous thing about this movie is thinking that the US government would allow Superman to be just buried in the ground. Listen the moment Superman drops dead the government would have snatched up that body and began every test on it imaginable. I've thought about this for years but in this movie it stands out more because unlike other death of superman retellings where superman has been a hero for years. In this story Superman is still pretty new and the government is kind of wary about him. I can see them respecting him enough to leave him buried in other tellings because he has earned the world's trust at that point but that trust hasn't been remotely earned in this story.

One thing that bugs me about this version of Batman is that he's got no issue killing a dozen nameless goons, but the Joker is still alive in this universe. If you want to create a killer Batman, fine, but the first thing you need to show me is Arkham Asylum as an empty, boarded up building.

You've got to realise that the DCEU, especially Zack Snyder's was just a 5 film arc. He didn't want to pull an MCU. Whereas Civil War is a more concrete, realistic reason why the avengers fell apart, which is about heroes that once untied being divided.

"I thought she was with you?" Theory!!! Batfleck's lifelong PTSD, alcoholism and drug addiction have literally caused him to genuinely ask Superman, "I thought she was with you?" At this point in his life, Bruce Wayne has had so many wild nights, and woken up next to so many random women that he doesn't recognize. It's foreshadowed by Bruce Wayne waking up next to a woman lying facedown in bed. We don't see her face, we don't even know if she's alive, and neither does Bruce Wayne. Further proof, after the party where Bruce meets Dianna Prince, we "find out" Batman broke into LexCorp and stole Kryptonite. We don't actually see Batman perform (what could have been) an incredible heist/break in scene, because we are meant to experience his own disassociation with his actions. Bruce Wayne got home from the party, took some Xannax, did a whole bunch of Internet research, black mailed wonder women, broke into LexCorp and then passed out. When he woke up there was a block of Kryptonite and he went "well, I guess I got that thing I needed to kill Superman". It also kind of explainins why he's so surprised Clark's mom's name is Martha.

I'm probably alone in this but I really dislike the car chase scene...I know it's visually cool but it's what ruined Batman's character for me for the rest of the movie and here is why: Batman, being the smart guy that he is tags a car to track it, and instead of going home and letting the tracker do its job, he follows it and attacks the car breaking parts of it but luckily for him not the tracker...how did he know no one see it when the inspected the broken car? he could have lost the tracker or brought attention to it, and for what? so he can kill some people on the side? and fine Batman can kill or whatever but shouldn't he at least only kill people who are endangering others or are doing crimes that warrant death? these guys were only smuggling Kryptonite, which he later steals, so it's not like their crime is punishable by death and he's taking justice into his own hands, if it is, well he should kill himself then! So in conclusion, it makes batman look to be dumb and very murder-y, also the way it ends is strange because batman and Superman meet but they don't really try to have a conversation, it's just threats and moving on!
@NoorAhmed-nk2jq4 жыл бұрын
@cill521 I don't know if your explanation improves on my view of Batman a whole lot, I still think using the tracker is the smart move and Batman shouldn't be the kind of person who gets hysterical and go on a rampage because of a nightmare, he bides his time to attack Superman, taking all the preparation time he needs to be ready though not really looking into him long enough to know if he has a family or not!, but he would rather get his aggression on small time smugglers because... he can? I mean you might be Ok with Batman being morally questionable, I'm sure he's been so in many comics, but if I'm gonna root for him against the villians I need to see him value human life at the very least! those smugglers probably had moms too! maybe even ones named Martha!

i think (not trying to be a dick) that maybe you don't understand Batman's characterization in this film. this is not Classic Batman this is a version 20 years down the line and hes given up abandoned his morals. the only reason he is doing anything right now is to kill superman. period.

A problem with all Batman movies is not the fact that he kills people directly or indirectly, but the fact that rich people think it's a smart idea to go down an alley with Crime in it's name and not think you're robbed or murdered. IMO, I feel that Batman v Superman is Zack Snyder at both his best and worst. There is a lot that I love about this film, whether it's character moments between Bruce and Alfred or Clark with Lois or Martha, the opening sequence, the action, the cinematography, and most of the performances, particularly Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons who are both, performance wise, are the best live-action on-screen Batman and Alfred. However, for as much as there is plenty to love, there's also plenty I hate: skipping over Batman and Superman forming a friendship and becoming the World's Finest, shoehorning in obvious set-ups for Justice League, Doomsday & The Death of Superman being adapted and totally wasted (especially since they kill off Superman in only his second film), and Jesse Eisenberg's awkwardly kooky performance. It feels like as if WB forced Snyder to abandon any Man of Steel sequels and make this one in order to set-up Justice League, catch up and compete with Marvel and having their own billion-dollar franchise. However, despite this, I do appreciate this film (particularly the Ultimate Edition) for having one consistent vision behind it with Snyder making the film he wanted to make, which makes it all the more sad that his vision got compromised with Justice League.
