So...what tips Batman off that The Riddler was actually Clayface here? Clayface's acting was so good, I never caught on! My guess: When Gordon says 'fancy monologuing,' Batman has the 'HOLD UP' face at 2:03. The Riddler teased Gordon for not deducing it at 2:05, was him leaking more clues to Batman. Then, Batman has the 'Oh, snap' Batglare at 2:09 when he remembers Clayface's signature actor's move is a fancy monologue along with dramatic gestures.

I know I'm a minority in this but this is better then the comics. Thomas Elliot was a wasted character. This animated movie did the right thing of cutting him out altogether. If they weren't gonna do anything interesting with him then just don't bother. It would have just been an underwhelming adaption otherwise. Sure they could have made Elliot more interesting. But if decades on comics could do nothing to help him be actually interesting then a 90 minute film is gonna do jack all. Riddler is cooler anyways.

This twist was so cheap. They already did this twist in Arkham City with the Joker it kind of doesn’t work here. They could’ve used Clayface for Jason, but that’s it. Honestly I really don’t want to see Clayface again in anything unless they do something different and not use him as a cheap plot device. And along with Riddler being Hush was kind of dumb. If they made him Two-Face or Jason Hush I would’ve bought that, but the guy whose entire personal motives and obsessions with trying intellectually upstage Batman is so lame that was everything that made Riddler unique. Now all of a sudden he’s all guns blazing. Really I rather prefer Thomas Elliot as Hush because Hush was original idea for antagonist. I remember reading these comics as a kid and had no idea who he was just to find he was a completely new character. That whole idea that Hush is a serial killer obsessed with the practice of plastic surgery is a terrifying idea.
@lucaschannel7263 жыл бұрын
Yeah! Two face or Jason Todd are better choices to replace hush. Especially two face! He is a smart and careful thinker and he knows how to get people to help him out! Some of his goons used to work with Robert thorn (the guy who burned half of his face)

I haven't seen the movie, but I now know who hush is in the film, and how most of it played out. I'm not disappointed, but I do think it could of been better if it was a new villain who simply was really smart, and used clay face to impersonate Riddler because the actual villain (Hush) knew that out of all of Batman's villains, Riddler is one of the few who would be capable of discovering his identity (even though Bane, Joker, Catwoman, all know Batman's identity). Then uses Riddler as a fall guy, just to find out that Riddler is Clay Face (being controlled by Hush), shortening the amount of time that Batman has to save Catwoman. But is left just enough of a clue to give him an idea as to his identity. Then Batman gets there in the nic of time, and then throughout the battle, Hush is revealed to be someone from Batman's past, but someone we've never seen or know all that much of their history with Batman/Bruce Wayne. We find out how they discovered Bruce was Batman, and tie it back to the Lazarus pit.
