Batman preps in a different way than tony. Tony is more of a scientific genius than batman but batman thinks outside the box better and is more strategical. Think about it when he takes out hulk he fights power with power and makes a suit really powerful. Or he could think outside the box and make something to take away his gamma rays in his blood or use knockout gas like batman did. You see batman is more proned to this kinda thinking and I think this gives him an edge on tony. Tony is kind of arrogant so I think he wouldn't really prepare as much as batman and will probably just use one of his more powerful armours. Batman on the other hand will likely be making nano machines that infiltrates Tony's armors and shut the down. Batman will use his most powerful armours like the justice buster hell bat insider suit etc. Batman will make a different plan rather than arrh I can make a better suit than you!

Bruce Wayne is just a fake character and doesn't exist, Bruce has been training since he was a child after the tragic killing of his parents pushed him to train and power lift and become the top fighter and doesn't even need a suit for most of his fighting but with a Special suit he was able to take down a God like Superman with his intelligence and creating a suit to at least give him a bit of a fighting chance and not just kill him because that's not his style and he wants a fair fight and he took him down and let him live....
