With the new DCU I reckon the new Batman may be like that where they don’t shy away from the more sci-fi side of things seen as though The Batman is a more grounded and dark and gritty take on the character

Christmas with the Joker would be the next in line on the Boxset release. Then Nothing to Fear followed by The Last Laugh. Wikipedia has the Fox Kids original release schedule which is same as the box sets. The streamers have them all over the place and besides two part episodes it doesn't really matter the order cannon wise but it's how all us who watched them on fox remember as the order.

I remember watching this when it first aired. I was like 3 or 4. It was the first episode I saw. The transformation sequence HORRIFIED me lol. I remember my dad kept looking at me saying, “you ok buddy, it’s not real”. I fell in love with the show that day.

It’s not super important that this be the first episode, but if you know that it is considered to be you’ll get one or two visual references much later on, and it’ll be more meaningful to you.

I was playing a game with a stealth mission while this was on the extra monitor so when they yelled "Hey, there he is!" at 5:17 I got confused which monitor to look at.

The list that you got, I assume it's from Wikipedia, is correct. But the episodes "The Cat and the Claw" parts 1 and 2 were technically the first episodes to premiere on Fox. Although when you ask google what was the first episode it states that it was "On Leather Wings". Trust me, as a person who was there

This episode was loosely based on a story arc from the comics known as "Mat-Bat Vs. Batman" (Detective Comics issues 400, 402, and 407.)

Its such a great series, and I am really enjoying your reaction. This is what Batman is supposed to be, not grim-dark, but actually trying to help people who need help. I can see why this might not have been the best first episode to show even if was the first produced, its a bit odd for a series premier.

"Off Balance" "Zatanna" "Shadow of the Bat: Part 1" "The Demon's Quest: Part 1" "Baby-Doll" "Sins of the Father" ( before "Holiday Knights") superman TAS lite girl lost and "World's Finest" before ("Girls' Night Out") static shock : "The Big Leagues" are all character introduction episodes to see before you get all mixed up. All the others are character returns or a one off who has no impact on the story and the order does not matter There is no origin of batman you should start with Tim Burton's movies or mask of the phantasm if you want to see Batman's first fights. See all of these , mask of the phantasm and batman beyond before return of the joker See the movie Sub Zero before "Cold Comfort" Batman and Harley Quinn, mystery of bat woman, Justice League vs. the Fatal Five and the Gotham Girls flash animated interactive stories are also Canon.

Great reaction, Yasmina! Not sure if you're aware of this, but you just happened to upload this video on the same day Batman: tAS premiered 32 years earlier. Of course, Fox decided to debut the show with The Cat and the Claw, Part 1 that morning instead of On Leather Wings, which was the first episode produced and the show's true pilot. Honestly, aside from everything else, On Leather Wings had some _damn_ good animation for a pilot episode.

Honestly with reruns scattered everywhere in the original run, I don't really feel there is a correct order. They all are pretty self-contained. So just go with whichever order that doesn't piss off the most people in comments I guess.

Thought this was a reupload for a second, old tab, then I noticed that in your intro your right half of your mouth is moving differently than the left half, like you had a tiny stroke or something, but that's unlikely. I also thought it looked a little like how Two-Face talks. You probably just picked up some kind of temporary speech inflection habit from somewhere or maybe it's really nothing at all.

Have you watched Batman Returns yet? Because this series is like....a......spiritual sequel to Batman and Batman Returns. It's not TECHNICALLY a sequel, but the series pulls HEAVILY from the Tim Burton movies, and kind of partially relies on people having been introduced to the characters in those movies. Like this Batmobile is designed as a simplified and much easier to draw version inspired by the Tim Burton Batmobile. They don't really bother to introduce Joker or Penguin because you're expected to know them from the movies. This version of Penguin is based on Batman Returns Penguin. This version of Catwoman is based on the Batman Returns version. etc It's like a sequel series for people with fuzzy memories of the details of the movies. lol
