You say that as if there were no good stealth games prior to Arkham City, which is just an insane take. Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell (MGS3 & Chaos Theory especially) are masterpieces of not only the genre, but video games as a medium in general.

@@HOTD108_ Never played any MGSs sides MGS 1, tbh. But first three splinter cell games are in my Goat list since childhood till this day. So is original hitman quadrology. But the father of good stealth is definitely the Thief series to me.

@@HOTD108_ I think he means the stealth in Batman is polished. You can both fight enemies in the open and play in stealth mode. There are no animations that throw off the pace of the game + lots of gadgets, and the movement and decisive strike animations are seamless. To summarize - the game has a lot of possibilities and it all looks very nice

Using gel as a detection device is actually genius, never thought about it. This is why predator missions are my favorite, I can spend hours to come up with a system, and when everything goes smooth, it's satisfying af.
