You should totally use the head from the War Doctor set on this body if you ever were to make a new Eighth Doctor Series! Great review as ever. Must try to get my hands on one these

Someone commented that a John Hurt swoppable head would have been a good addition to this figure, but that got me thinking that the War Doctor looked quite short on screen, so he must have looked weird after regeneration in Paul McGann's now baggy clothes. But then I looked up their heights and it turns out Paul McGann is 5ft 8" and John Hurt's 5ft 7", so yes it would have worked perfectly!

I have two of these. The first, I got the day it came out. A few months later, I thought I'd get another, to open. I had to order one from America, which, including shipping, was cheaper than any I could find here in the UK. Now I call that mental.

Awesome review! Easily the most sought after figure of recent times! I would love if somehow they actually release more versions of the 8th Doctor based on the Big Finish audio adventures. I got mine over a week ago along with the purple shirted 12th Doctor. The Only Doctor I need to complete the lineup now is John Hurt. I'd love if they re-released him to retailers like they did with Series 7B 11. What figures would you like to see in the near future? I pray to God we get more classics! By that I mean PROPER 70s silurians!

Agreed. Didn't they do a poll for most wanted figure, similar to Star Wars The Black Series where fans voted for what they wanted? Darth Revan came top and he's getting released! I'd love it if character did this more often but it seems extremely unlikely :(

Excellent review - as usual! Got mine yesterday and agree that the figure is superb - apart from the head. The paint app and 'soft' look is really very disappointing.

The facial sculpt is excellent, but I hate the hair sculpt on this figure, so I swapped the head this figure came with for the 8th Doctor head that came with the first edition War Doctor figure, & I think it looks much better.

I literally only own the head from this figure. Unfortunately this figure looks very expensive on eBay, so I doubt I'll be able to complete him.

One thing I've noticed about this figure, which insanely bugs me. Is that the shoulders are way too far pushed back on his body, and should be more closer to the front. To me it looks like he's pushing his chest out and makes any pose look odd, let alone atomically correct.

It's nice to have the night of the doctor 8th doctor figure by the way you forgot the comic book version of the 8th doctor to stand next with the TV movie,dark eyes and night of the doctor 8th doctor figures and fans would want the dark eyes 8th doctor next but I think it's very unlikely but I hope they make a coat less 8th doctor figure maybe for a TV movie set I am also hoping for an 8th doctor tardis console playset

+Keanu Dave The comic version was essentially the same as The Enemy Within version, but it just had a repaint. It also had more accurately coloured hair, but that's kind of irrelevant.

Easy way to do that would to be to take the head off the Prof. Yana and put 8's head on. Then repaint the waistcoat, trousers and cravat to match the movie.
