No you don't. It's just easier to catch, toss, ect. If you can't afford it then, it's really fine. But what I use is tennis racket tape. You can find it at Michaels or places like that. Hope this is helpful! 💖

How long is your baton? Do you think length helps with rolls?

U measure the baton under ur arm so the tip is in the arm pit and you should be about 3 inches to the end I the perfect size for you if it's to long you won't be able to twirl it correctly
