Odunayo and that lady moremi do look alike,beautiful.Yes there were horses in ancient time,but mostly for the top officials then.The so called assyrians(hausa)in the bible rode horses.The ethiopian dignitary rode a horse on his way to and fro Jerusalem.Oranmiyan,does it mean my problems has been solved in yoruba/youda?Not sure about praying to a tree,but the sooner we return to our mother tongue the sooner we'll find the anwsers to the black race demise , corruption,underdevelopement and so on.English or what have you just dont have words like these as a name and that's very important.That university is like a mini beautiful town.You could see what our fathers intended for nigeria before the dabaru came and spoil everything for us.God bless nigeria.

''Red Gate'' in Ibadan Road. If you're an ''Ife boy'' or a visitor and you didn't drink palm-wine at red gate, then you're not yet in Ife.

That staff is too heavy for someone to be carrying to war
@ade2trey
@ade2trey 7 жыл бұрын
The Oranminyan story does not make sense. For instance, isn't that too big to be a 'staff' or a walking stick? Secondly, the man mentions the staff having bullet holes. Now I know Yoruba people didn't invent guns, the got it from Europeans then they later started making their own versions probably in the 1600 - 1800s. So exactly when did Oranminyan reign? Another thing is that Horses were not native to Africa. This is when I wish our people wrote things down.

ade2trey have you heard of Arabian Horses ? There was significant trade between the Fulani, barbers and Yoruba s. The oral history might be hard to believe but if so is most oral accounts. If a white man told this same story I'm sure we would nod our heads in agreement

+ Ayobami Peters, I'm not sure you understand me. Going by these theories, then Yoruba history is quite recent then. it means Oduduwa, Sango, and every other yoruba spiritual figure all existed recently, that is if Oranmiyan was alive to when guns and horses were being used. I and many others thought they were all more ancient than that.
