@@mattc2824 You don't know much about football. 350 yards rushing IS insane, especially in today's pass-happy NFL. That number's only been topped twice since 2014. And the Dolphins have been around for over half a century and have never reached that total.

@@odiumgeneris729 I think it's 423 yards set back in 1950. Only twice this century has a team rushed for over 400 yards in one game(and ironically one of those was also against Denver).

The Tua thing is really amplified by last season when they let him play with a concussion for a couple of weeks. The stat you mentioned about him only being sacked once this year so far is paramount. If they keep him safe, he runs that offense well enough that job is his. Especially with their weapons.

Also, Tua's second concussion of the year happened in a nationally televised game with repeated close-ups of his "fencing" response, where his fingers went rigid. The high visibility of the injury, plus the unusual neurological response got Tua a lot of press coverage that he might not have had if the injury had happened in a regular Sunday afternoon game and he'd gotten back to his feet right after

Admittedly this was an impressive win by the Dolphins but I wouldn't expect these type of scores to become something we see on a regular basis. There's a reason why there have only been 70 points scored only 4 times in NFL history. Talent in the NFL is more equally distributed. The play by the Denver defense was historically bad on this day which made it possible for Miami's offense to exploit it mercilessly. If these two teams played each other again next week I think you'd see a more competitive game but a win none the less by Miami. Rarely does everything go your way to the degree it did for Miami on this particular day.

Sean Payton announced his retirement from coaching (you were correct in recalling the Saints) following the 2021 season, and spent the 2022 season out of football. There was buzz about him coming back to coaching after his year off, but the Saints still retained the rights to his services since he did not finish out his coaching contract with them. Since the Saints knew they had leverage in the situation, they were able to get some draft picks to move him over to the team that wanted to hire him. Coaching trades don't happen very often. A pretty interesting one was in 2002, the Raiders traded their head coach Jon Gruden to the Buccaneers, and the next season both teams were playing each other in the Superbowl. Gruden's Buccaneers won that one
@maxbuffkin5625
@maxbuffkin5625 10 ай бұрын
My favorite addition about the Gruden-to-Bucs trade is that the Raiders changed NOTHING and kept all of Gruden's systems, so when they faced each other in the Super Bowl, Gruden knew everything and it was a humiliation for the Raiders. XD

The issue many people have with Tua is his injury history. He had a major hip injury his last season at Alabama (the same injury that ended Bo Jackson's career) and he was thrown in before he was completely healed. He finally started to show signs of his velocity coming back last season and had the concussions. He practiced Judo and learning how to protect his body during the off season and, so far, it looks like it may be working. Most guys want a big strong armed QB who can run but Tua checks marks that few QB's truly excell at with his ability to read defenses and process plays extremely quick and also pin point accuracy. This (and his shorter height for a QB) is what drew so many comparisons to Drew Brees (often considered one of the most accurate and best anticipating QB's ever) when he came out of college. If he can stay healthy, his ability to get the ball out quickly and accurately bodes well for a long successful career.

It's generally both polite and good strategy to run the ball on the ground with a big lead, because it runs the clock down while slowly gaining yards (well normally it's slow), whereas passes tend to either get lots of yardage or stop the clock. Sometimes after a blowout like this people criticize the winning coach for "running up the score", but there's only so much you can do. If you're just calling runs up the middle of the field and they keep going for touchdowns, that's the other team's problem!

Bill Parcells was traded from New England Patriots to new york jets for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th round picks. Yes they traded a coach in the division. He took the Patriots to superbowl and lost. He retired in 1999 and Bill Belichick took over. Bill Belichick quit the jets after announced as head coach and was traded from the New York Jets to the New England Patriots for a 1st round, 5 round and 2 7th round picks. Been a dolphins fan since 1989. They have been very lean years since Dan Marino’s retirement. Hopefully this isn’t a mirage and are building a complete team that will compete for years to come. I wasn’t happy when Tua was drafted over Herbert as I thought the size of Herbert and arm strength were qualities Tua obviously doesn’t have. Tua has proven that the talents he has are very dangerous and he is good enough to compete with any qb in the league. The only thing I’m worried about is if he can stay healthy for an entire season. Some dolphin fans are tired of this being questioned but he been injured every season since his last year at alabama and until he goes a season without being hurt it’s something that will Always be brought up. As far as this Sunday against the bulls. I hope to see a great game and think the dolphins can win but won’t be surprised if buffalo pulls it out. Really enjoy your alls videos and one suggestion I think you’d love is a baseball video about Jeff Franceour. As for Tua, Mahomes will be 1 for as long as he stays healthy. Tua, if he keeps this up and stays healthy, will be 2. Anyone with a contract with a team, is tradeable. Even GMs and assistant coaches. Payton retired while still under contract. Contracts don’t end on retirement unless a team cancels it. Payton is still young and has value so they didn’t cancel his contract for this exact reason. A good player that has a career ending injury will usually have their contract cancelled

It's not like Payton was involuntarily traded. Since he was still under contract with the Saints when he "retired" a few years back, the Broncos had to provide draft compensation to the Saints if they wanted to sign him now. So, yes, they "traded" picks for the right to sign him to a new team but it wasn't a trade but the traditional measure of the word in US sports.

The dolphins head coach is an offensive genius, so Tua should have a great career as long as he stays with that coach, and whatever flaws people question him for, will be minimized regardless.

Burrow is injured and has been since training camp. He has played with a calf injury that is on his plant leg which is crucial for QBs to get power behind their throws. The controversy with Tua all stems from injuries as well. He has a history with concussions that have haunted his short pro career. He also had a major leg injury and surgery coming out of college that many people are still very leery about. Many thought the leg injury would destroy his pro career before it started. He was always a really good Qb and had been considered the best QB in that draft until the injury.

This was about revenge and karma. McDaniel started as a ball boy for Denver. They wouldn’t consider him for the head coaching job. Payton criticized the previous coaching staff on defense and said Tua should be replaced by Bridgewater. Then they let Chubb go saying they didn’t need him. Miami did this without most of their starters in the 4th and an undrafted rookie, Chris Brooks running the ball later in the 4th.

Yeah Tua is basically the QB everyone dumps on and then when he finally shows them why he was projected to go number one they want to give everyone else the credit mind you no other QB throws with greater anticipation than him and gets the ball out faster and scans the field faster. Straight sniper on the field but everyone just falls in love with the QB’s with rocket arms and get brainwashed from remembering what makes a great QB. Love the genuine reaction though guys keep it up✊🏽

As someone who lives in Colorado, it's so disappointing that two of our sports teams are absolute garbage, especially the Rockies as a baseball fan. 70 points in a Broncos game and 100 losses on the season for the Rox. Not a good time to be a Colorado sports fan... At least the Avs won a Stanley Cup last year...

I think the reasoning that Denver opted to take a field goal right before halftime is that they had already played a poor half and were down 25, so the logic is probably that they get the 3 points and potentially get another 7 points after you get the ball back to start the 3rd quarter. You’ll see a lot of teams before halftime do this instead of going for the the touchdown because during halftime, teams can make big offensive and defensive adjustments and hopefully come out big to start the third quarter strong and thereby gain some momentum.

I'm a lifelong Bills fan, and I'm excited for the game with the Dolphins this weekend. They're a really good team and have a lot of really likeable guys. It should be a good matchup, as the last few games have been close either way, and the Dolphins just put on a clinic. Re: Sean Payton being "traded"...think of it kind of like the situation with Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern this summer. Payton had "retired" as coach of the Saints, but was still under contract so to sign him, the Broncos owed compensation. Kind of like Nagelsmann's involuntary "gardening leave", where any team wanting him was going to owe Bayern a transfer fee...which is why Poch is at Chelsea and Big Ange is at Spurs.

Dolphins Stats: 726 Total yards. 376 passing. 350 rushing. 10.2 yards per play. 1st team to score 5 passing TD and 5 rusing TD in a single game. Tua first quarterback two passing TD both right and left arm total of 4 TD. Well balance game. 8 mins left in 4th quarter Dolphins reached 70 points. The 6 top fastest scoring in all NFL lead by all Miami Dolphins players Achane, Mostert, and Hill. This is done without WR Waddle. CB Jalen Ramsey defensive player also out. This team going to get better down the road. Wow! They should change their name to Killer Whale,lol

Mike McDaniels (HC of the Dolphins) was a ball boy for the Broncos and grew up as a MASSIVE Broncos fan. As for Sean Payton....he ain't going anywhere. The Broncos were crappy the last few seasons and ownership traded away picks for the rights to hire him. Basically everyone knows that this is a multi-year job to get the team back and to be really fair they are not nearly as bad as the games look. Miami is a juggernaut and is going to make a lot of teams look like crap.

Tua is talented but people are skeptical because he is fragile. Past brain injuries (concussions) have kept him from playing. Health is his "weakness." He'd have a short career if he played like daredevil Evil Knieval (Josh Allen).

Since you asked, I expect fins will win because they’re much improved from last season on offense, with new players at O line, running back, and receiver, and Tua’s stronger physically with more mastery of the offense, and even coach McDaniel’s getting plays in faster. I think they’re also improved on defense, though that’s a work in progress. But on the Bill’s side, I think it’s pretty much the same team as last year, and their main addition on offense, the rookie tight end, has just 72 yards and no touchdowns so far.
