Thanks so much for watching! Are you a fan of the Chibi-Robo video games? Which one is your favorite? Let me know!

Ty for this. Not enough people talk about this game. It does have some life lessons in it.

Original, of course, heh. Sadly sold all my GameCube stuff many years ago, and under market value at that… bleh, but I’ve slowly been collecting games again, and a few years ago I ended up with a free Chibi-Robo disc! Guess I just need to get a reproduction case for it. (Authentic ones are insanely expensive, not to mention you run the risk of them not even being authentic….)

Chibi-Robo is one of my favorite games of all time. So happy to see someone talk about it now. This is one of my most replayed games. The scene where Giga-Robo walks out with the Free Rangers saluting him is always a good feeling.

genuinely wish chibi robo was something Nintendo would either remake or pick back up and make more of. That game feels so underated and heckin slaps

AAAAAAAAAA I _loved_ Chibi-Robo! I've probably finished it at _least_ 5 or 6 times over the years. I loved how every action in the game had its own musical accompaniment. From the relaxing guitar of the toothbrush, the piano notes from the spoon or even the sounds your footsteps make, which are different depending on the type of flooring. The characters were really varied and interesting, and the story had some genuinely touching and emotional moments. And there were so many sidequests and random things to find! (Good luck getting all the stickers for 100% :P ) The only other entry in the series I played was Park Patrol on the DS, but it didn't have the same magic as the original. Wasn't really a fan of the gameplay loop and don't think I ever finished it. But the original will always hold a special place in my heart.

About time more people started covering this franchise! And not just the bad game everyone jokes about constantly. Nice video. :)

This is a game I regret not growing up with because it looks really unique and feels like a must have for GameCube. It’s a shame the series fell by the wayside it seems.

I remember this series a ton. I remember being curious about it back on the 3DS system. I was surprised with on how adrooable and fun it was when I was a teen. I wish they would give this series a second chance of a reivial someday on the switch. Thanks for unlocking fun memories Jordan.

This remains, to this day, one of my all-time favorite games and the game I regret selling more than any other. It is an absolute GEM and weird in the wildest, most wholesome way. I'm so sad that the series took such strange turns hereafter, cuz this was a phenomenal foundation to build upon.

Thank you so much for talking about Chibi-Robo potentially spreading it to new people who haven't heard of it before. I remember every weekend my Granny and I would go to Blockbuster and rent a game and a movie and then get Pizza Hut. It's where I discovered PIKMIN and Luigi's Mansion and lots of others but they just so happened to have Chibi-Robo as well. it was one of the best games I've ever played in my life and it's always been very near and dear to my heart and I hope one day Nintendo makes a proper sequel to it. I realize Clean Sweep is decent but not exactly what I wanted.

This was one of my favorite games. I love adventure and never thought house chores would be so fun to do. All of the costumes and special abilities. Exploration of the house was fun as well it was a really great game and I always wished they would have a sequel game for the consoles.

It's crazy that the last time I played this game was many, many years ago when K-Mart used to allow you to play video games in the game department and I played the demo of it. Why didn't I get it when I was younger? Because I was too obsessed with Animal Crossing and Super Smash Bros. Melee lol

I really hope this series gets some love. A remaster/remake would be cool, or even a true sequel that takes the original (best) game to the next level. Maybe revisiting the same family?? Or Chibi-Robo could be gifted to relatives, so the original family members could make appearances. Or why not both? Part of the game is in one house, and part is in a whole ‘nother house, with a clever mechanic that allows you to be carried back and forth, maybe only after certain conditions are met… I just want to see modern graphics Chibi-Robo! Ha 😄

I didn't have a Gamecube growing up but managed to get the game relatively cheap an I play it in my Wii. It has to be one of the best games I've ever played. It's not perfect but the characters, the relaxing gameplay, music, quite unique gameplay... Just amazing all around..!

What is the max I should spend on a game like this? I keep seeing listings that are well over $100 and I was wondering what price point I should settle at,
@aaronskuse2207 Жыл бұрын
I personally refuse to pay more than 1.5X the original retail price out of principle of f*ck those POS scalpers. I highly recommend emulation instead. It’s literally just like renting a book from a library, and these soulless mega corporations refuse to manufacture these products for sale to customers who are willing to pay, so it’s not you would have purchased a copy from the publisher anyways.

Yo, I dunno if you have any nostalgia for it yourself, but one of the best games of my formative years was Otogi: Myth of Demons. It's aged as beautifully as the original Twelve Angry Men, and it's honestly been frustrating not seeing it discussed despite FromSoft becoming a household name through the Souls games. It's worth checking out today, even if you're not familiar with it. If ever there was a game that deserved the phrase "Wait, do you remember...?" it's Otogi. I always wanted to try Chibi-Robo, but never got around to it.
